The Regina hotel is an excellent base to take in the sites of Madrid. Right in the centre of things the location couldn't have been better. Shopping down the street, surrounded by tapas bars and restaurants and a good Irish bar just down the road. Minutes walk from the main shopping area and train station just opposite. The hotel itself is a lovely hotel with a small lobby but really nicely decorated. Rooms are basic enough but spotless and good powerful shower. Staff speak English and were very helpful giving us advice on where to visit. Even though the hotel was central it was very quite in the night. Only critism is that I could hear cleaners in the morning from about 8.30a.m. Would definitely recommend this hotel and thanks to Mark in Roomex for recommending it to me. Had a great weekend and will hopefully get back there again.

We stayed in the Regina for a two night stay. The location was excellent just 3 min walk from shopping and in the other direction 2 min walk to all the lovely restaurants, tappa bars and Irish bar. We had breakfast each morning in the hotel which was lovely. There was both hot and cold food available. You could eat as much as you wanted. The room was a little bit on the small side but was spotless as was all of the hotel. Would definitely recommend it.
