How To Get There
Guests arriving from the A10 motorway should take exit 33, then the N11 national road towards La Rochelle. Follow signs to Vieux Port, then Porte Royale and continue on Rue Gambetta to Place de Verdun. The hotel is on an adjacent street.

Really enjoyed a 2 night stay at Residence De France La Rochelle. Many things helped - the airport bus (journey took 10 mins (cost 1.30euro) left us 3 minute walk from the hotel! The hotel is centrally located in the heart of the Old Town of La Rocelle. Double room was bright, airy and clean with large double windows that opened out to let in a cool breezes and gave wonderful views of old buildings, the fab hotel courtyard and small swimming pool. Although we were in the centre ot town we heard no noise or traffic!! The room had a comfy bed, good fridge,small supply of delph and cutelery, a two ringed hob if you fancied a cuppa, small TV, large bathroom with good shower! Who could ask for more! Staff were professional, helpful and friendly. Although it's listed 4 star I'd rate it as 3 as it's not as luxurious as you'd expect for 4 star. I would highly recommend this hotel for it's close proximity to town, cleanliness and friendly staff although remember it's more a 3 star!!
