Built in 1848, the elegant and luxurious hotel is the ideal place for both holidaymakers and business travellers and ably combines tradition with modern facilities. Location
This is one of the most discerning hotels in Edinburgh, located directly in the historic city centre on Charlotte Square with good views over the surrounding gardens. Princes Street, the famous Edinburgh Castle, and countless shopping amenities are practically on the doorstep. Links to the public transport network can be found in the immediate vicinity of the hotel (approximately 30 m).
How To Get There
Take M8 to Edinburgh from Glasgow. Follow signs for city centre (A8). As one approaches Princes street, the House of Fraser department store is on the left hand side. Keep in the left lane, drive through the 1st set of traffic lights, and immediately after there is a 2nd set of traffic lights turn left onto South Charlotte street. The hotel is on the right hand side just after the next set of traffic lights.
Room Description
The rooms in both the modern extension and the Georgian wing are wonderfully appointed. Superb decoration, a comfortable working area with an Internet connection, an en suite bathroom, satellite TV, a direct dial telephone, an extra telephone socket, personal voicemail, a welcome tray, and a hairdryer are only a part of the room fittings. All guest rooms are non-smoking.
Meals
Full Scottish breakfast is available every morning and those wishing for something lighter can enjoy pastries or a cafe latte in the Lounge. Snacks are available throughout the day with dinner served from our extensive menu in the evening.

The hotel's wide leisure offerings range from an indoor pool to a sauna, solarium and steam room as well as a professional massage service, aerobics and aqua aerobics in the Vital Health Fitness and Beauty Spa.
