Stayed for the bank hol weekend, excellent hotel, arrived at 2pm Friday, room wasnt ready for half an hour so were given 2 complimentary drinks. Staff were absolutely fantastic. 12 Mins walk to Oxford st, 2 mins to hyde park. Will definitely stay again. 1 min walk to tube, cant go wrong with this. thanks for a great weekend.

Check in was quick and friendly and our request for a high floor with a view was granted. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable, cookies, tea, coffee and milk was provided. Cleaning unobtrusive and turn down service was automatic. Continental breakfast is way above average with fresh fruit, yogurt, muesli, cold cuts and cheese provided. This is about the tenth time that I stayed at this hotel and it is getting better.

Whilst the rest of the hotel was of ...
Whilst the rest of the hotel was of a very high standard unfortunately our room let it down somewhat. The ceiling in the bathroom was flaking and the toilet made clunking noises everytime it was flushed. The room also smelt of stale smoke. During both our nights stays unfortunately the fire alarm went off in the hotel, disturbing our sleep (this may have been due to people smoking within the building which was beyond the hotels control). Apart from this the staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfasts enjoyable.

I stayed at the Royal Lancaster for one night only, but that was the only negative about my stay. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the hotel itself was fantastic and easily a 4 star hotel, the room lovely, couldn't fault it! The breakfast was nice, have had better but then have had much worse! The location was excellent, really handy for central London and the price I paid was fantastic considering the quality and location for the hotel, so thanks to Roomex for that one!! I will be looking at this hotel before any others next time I come to London!!!
