The hotel, although not very modernly decorated, is very clean and the staff are efficient, friendly and very helpful. The hotel is located approx 20 minutes from Logan Airport so the fare is not more than $30. Also, the Green T line is 5 minutes walk from the hotel while the Red T line is a 10 minute walk. Both of these train lines connect to downtown Boston. The Red line is linked to MIT and Harvard while the Green Line connects to the Prudential Centre and Fenway Park (Boston Red Sox's stadium). Each line also connects to one of the two main train stations offering commuter and inter-state services (the Green line connects to North Station and the Red line connects to South Station). Also, the walk from the hotel to the city centre would only take at most 40 minutes. There is a large shopping centre across the road from the hotel (Cambridgeside Galleria) and a lovely restaurant (Dante's) and a cafe-bar (The Gallery) in the hotel. The Cheesecake Factory is also across from the hotel which serves delicious food and almost every type of cheescake imaginable - well worth a visit! The hotel is also a 5 minute walk from the Science Museum which is very enjoyable and especially so for children. This is an ideal location for those looking to enjoy nice walks, shopping, and visits to the main colleges e.g. Harvard. However, if you are looking for lively nightlife and to be in the centre of everything a hotel nearer to Downtown e.g. around the theatre district, would be more advisable.
