The rooms vary in size, but most are medium and traditionally decorated with floral patterning. All are in good condition. Please note all rooms are non-smoking at the hotel. The restaurant has plenty of old world charm and is warm and cosy. A lovely bar off the restaurant that also serves great bar food throughout the day. Dating from 1620 the hotel is very traditional, inn-style facade and elegant Georgian and Tudor aspects. The hotel also has a more modern annexe to the rear of the property which is decorated in keeping with the rest of the property. Small, cosy and very traditional. A good alternative to Cambridge and also excellent for Stansted Airport, the Saracens Head is very traditional English Inn. Please note guests are forbidden from smoking anywhere within the hotel. Area Information
The hotel is located in the middle of north Essex, only 08 miles from Stansted airport and close to the M11 for connections to Cambridge. The hotel is in the centre of the village opposite the old market place.
