Very good hotel. On check in we were upgraded to superior rooms which was an added bonus. Mirabell Park - where some of The Sound of Music was filmed - is like the back garden to this hotel. It's lovely to take a walk through morning or evening. Breakfast is very good & plentiful. On having breakfast one morning towards the end of the breakfast time, a waiter came over to ask me if I would like anything else before they cleared away. I thought it a nice touch & they weren't rushing me in the slightest. It's not exactly in the centre of Salzburg but the walk is very pleasant as you can stroll along by the river. Also the Tour buses leave & drop off just around the corner, so it's very convenient for sightseeing. All in all I'd highly recommend this hotel. I was in a group of 6 - we had 3 bedrooms, 2 double & I twin & everybody was very happy with their room & the hotel in general.
