Customer Reviews for Skylane Hotel Gatwick London
Our Customer stayed here in October 2011
The biggest drawback of this hotel is the lack of a public room if the bar or dining room are not open. Catching a flight in the late afternoon, there was no place to wait in the hotel after checkout at 1100. We were obliged to go to the airport and wait there.
The room stank of cigarette smoke. Hot water was intermittent.
Breakfast was OK.

Our Customer stayed here in June 2008
We only stayed one night, but the room was poor, the drapes did not fit properly, the room was dismal and the bathroom in need of some maintenance. The bed base was torn but the mattress was ok. A full Breakfast was included in the price but the restaurant did not open up until 6:15am and then only a Continental Breakfast was available which consisted of cereal and toast. We only had until 6:30am when the shuttle to the airport arrived. However, staff were helpful and friendly.

This was our third stay at the Skylane and we were in one of the refurbished rooms thistime the room was lovely except there was no toiletries in the bathroom and reception on television was very poor. Also there must be a new chef for breakfast as before it was always well cooked and not at all greasy but this time the bacon and sausage were undercooked and the fried bread was not edible as it was soaked with oil. Other than that our stay was very good and staff were pleasant as always
