We checked into the Clarion early afternoon and were happy with the room although it was a long walk from the lifts (which the Receptionist had warned us). It's a vast hotel, so if you have mobility issues, it would be best to advise in advance. Returning to our room in the early evening we realised quickly that the rest of our corridor were part of a stag party and the noise level was fairly high; we phoned reception to see if they could move us and were in a new room (an upgrade) within 30 minutes. No fuss, no extra charges and a porter was sent to assist with the move. The rooms are of good, if generic, standard, the beds very comfy and everywhere within the hotel was spotless. We had a good breakfast with plenty of choice and were delighted to note that breakfast was served until 11am on Sundays. Parking is plentiful; the staff we met were pleasant and gave great advice for going out in Sligo and the hotel is within walking distance of town.
we stayed here last weekend 21/01/2012 and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the clarion - the staff are so friendly from the minute you walked in the door - although we had a slight problem with the heating in the room - the staff were trying to sort it - and for our trouble we were upgraded to a beautiful suite which was totally unexpected but very much apprecitated.... we had dinner in the hotel and it was delicious - the girl who waited on our table was so nice and friendly - we didnt get her name but she was on breakfast the following morning and she was still as friendly.. we will definitely be back but we will be bringing the kids next time..
Really enjoyed our stay at the glasshouse. Myself and my hubby just wanted a nice romantic getaway for the night and that's exactly what we got. We dinned in the restaurant had a beautiful candle lit dinner and the staff were very friendly. The room was lovely and big with a calming modern design. The breakfast in the morning was lovely and we never felt rushed even though we were a little late getting down for it. I would definitely stay there again.:)
Fabulous modern hotel in the heart of Sligo City. Bedroom was beautiful, extra large bed & plenty of space. Breakfast was superb & reception staff were very helpful. I will definately be returning to the Glasshouse & will be recommending to friends & family :)
rooms were clean and well presented service outstanding, perfect after a great christmas party
we stayed one night at the Sligo park hotel. Staff on reception gave us a very warm welcome and check in was very quick. Room was spacious and comfortable with all facilitys. Check out was equally very pleasant and the reception staff were so vibrant. There was also fresh frut available at the desk which i thought was a lovely touch. Overall we had a superb stay and would fully recomend it.

We stayed at this hotel for a wedding, the room was lovely and comfortable. Food was good, i did hear the spa was lovely unfortunately we did not have time to use the facilities. You could not pay with cash in the residents bar, also I spent quite a bit of time checking in and out as there was only one person on reception on a saturday afternoon and sunday morning.
The hotel is very central. The only thing I felt let it down was the room I stayed in. The bathroom was in need of renovation. The TV was annoying because it kept loosing signal. The channels were all over the place on it as well. The one good thing was the breakfast room. It was lovely and I really enjoyed the meal. I tend not to complain to staff about things like the above when staying in the hotel. I'm too busy to be looking for everything just right. I expect it to be. I just don't go back as a repeat customer.
