Star Metro Al Barsha Hotel Apartments Dubai

This excellent hotel is located in the new Al Barsha area of Dubai, and is very close to the giant Mall of the Emirates shopping centre (from where you can easily get the Metro to / from Dubai airport). The room I had was very large, and as part of the hotels features, it also had a microwave and kitchen cutlery. There was also a kettle and fridge, and tea and coffee sachets. The bathroom was also well stocked with amenities. There was a large LCD TV set, with loads of channels (including lots of english language ones). The room also had a small balcony which got the sun in the mornings. There is a lot of construction work going on in the area, but I didn't hear any noise from it. There was air conditioning in the room - which is really important, as it can get very hot in Dubai even in November. I arrived too early to check in properly, but the very kind receptionist let me go and use the showers and changing room in the hotel gym so I could freshen up after my overnight flight. The breakfast at the hotel was very nice and each day there was a different selection of foods. And the lady serving breakfast was very friendly and helpful. Overall I was very pleased with this hotel. The only (very minor) problem was actually locating it when I arrived at first (there are no street names in this district yet as it is all being newly built). But once I had found it the first time I was easily able to get back to it from the Mall of The Emirates for the rest of my stay.
