The building is the Halls of Residence for the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, one of the world's premier music and drama conservatories. All bedrooms are single study rooms which are thoroughly cleaned prior to letting in the summer. Rooms are on average small and feature a hand wash basin, desk and a wardrobe. PLEASE NOTE: BATHROOMS, SHOWERS, TOILETS, AND KITCHENS ARE SHARED on a ratio of 3 to 5 persons and are located on each corridor. Each apartment shares the kitchen/dinning room facility equipped with cooker, fridge/freezer, and microwave. BREAKFAST IS NOT INCLUDED WITH THIS PROPERTY. The building is part of the historic "Brewery", founded by Samuel Whitbread in 1750. It's a restored period brick building with a quiet courtyard in keeping with the surrounding buildings. The reception area is small and functional. All guests have to report to reception on arrival to check-in and collect the keys. Access to the apartments and bedrooms can be either through the reception area or directly via the nice courtyard. Note that the courtyard gates are closed every day at 8:00 p.m. for security reasons. The Hall provides valuable and clean budget accommodation for large and small groups, individuals, and students. Its great location, right in the middle of the busy city of London, financial capital of Europe and close to all major tourist attractions, makes it an ideal base for those looking to explore London in the summer.
