Mayfair Tunneln Hotel Malmo

Our recent stay at the Mayfair Hotel in Malmo was just wonderful. The location of the hotel is perfect. It's within easy walking distance from the train station, even with luggage in tow, and close to museums, parks, the fishing village and around the corner from the "big and little" squares where restaurants and shops are located. And the staff was so friendly and helpful! They even offered to keep our leftover pizza in the fridge so we could have it the next day! The room was lovely too. The breakfast downstairs in the basement with the dramatic vaulted ceiling was quite elegant and the buffet was the best we had on our trip. We would definitely stay there again!

Our room at the mayfair was smaller that we had anticipated, but it had lots of character - a lovely big darkwood bed and wardrobe and a nice desk. The location was great, Malmo is a compact city but we really could walk anywhere we needed to go. The lift was intermittently unavailable, as the cleaning staff were often using it when ever we tried to. When you get to use it, its really quirky and old-fashioned (in a good way!) I would recommend the mayfair.
