Tre Stelle Hotel
Absolutely the most disgusting place we stayed on ...
Absolutely the most disgusting place we stayed on our 6week tour around the world. For $250 American dollars I would expect towels without holes. We were given table cloths as towels, raggedy rags with other names on them from around town, your legs touched the toilet and bidet upon entering the shower because space was so slim. We looked at 4 rooms before I found one tolerable for a two night stay. It was too late on our arrival to track down another hotel with a vacancy or we would have. The photos shown are not current. Actually the building shown is what you see from a window in the Tre Stella. Not the hotel itself. We walked in circles looking for the correct building. It does not have a sign unless you go into an alley-way. The building is actually 2 hotels in one. TreStella hallways inside had wires ripped out of the wall hanging loosely, only 2 on the elevator at a time, must take a 1/2 flight steps up or down regardless of the floor you reside. TV did not work, air did not work. Called maintance to come fix. Air blew tolerable, TV still did not have a picture. This was a refurbished room. Top floor. Noisy Noisy with windows shut. Dim light about 4O Wattt USA was all in center. Bedspread was old ribbed style from the 70's I grew up with and looked like it had been used for 40 years too. The lady on call did try her best to make us happy. She all but said.."Sorry, I know its not what up to par". The positive thing, it was next to subway entrance for getting around Rome. Since we booked through Roomex, we did not know how to get our money back. The lady would not give us a refund. My husband and I decided to tolerate the second night to avoid losing that much money....Never again. I do have photos of the disgusting place if anyone needs proof. Across the 9 countries of travel and 11 different hotel stays this was the worse. It equivalent to what you would expect in America at a $20 cheap truck stop.
