Customer Reviews for Umi Hotel London
Our Customer stayed here in July 2011
This is a nice friendly hotel in a good location in West London. Its about a 10 minute walk to the nearest Tube station (Queensway), and about a 7 minute walk to the shops and cafes at Whiteleys. Yet its on a quiet square with not much street noise from traffic. The room I had was small and basic, but had Tea and Coffee making facilities which was great. The bathroom was also pretty small, but the hotels great location is the main thing. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and there are free newspapers in the lobby and lounge area.
I'd recommend this hotel as a base for a quick visit to London, esspecially if you will be out in the evenings, and are just looking for somewhere basic to sleep. Its also handy for Paddington Station as you could walk there in about 15 minutes. Breakfast wasn't included but there are loads of cafes and supermarkets in Queensway.

I have no complaints about this hotel. Staff were very friendly and we were always greeted with a smile. The rooms are very clean with a flat screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel is in a beautiful location and is just 5 mins walk from Bayswater tube station. I would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend.

The location of UMI is very convenient. The staff were all most friendly and helpful. The room was very small, but as one only sleeps in it that was OK. The plumbing was a bit of a problem since the taps on the shower were difficult to adjust and the water was extremely hot. The drainage from the Bath was also poor.
Overall the UMI being a budget hotel was very good value for money and we would certainly stay there again when visiting London.

Have to say we were very dissapointed in this hotel, its very old fashioned, quite run-down.. the rooms were terrible.. just about fits the double bed in..a squash for two people to get around the bed..The bathroom was tiny.. no character to the hotel. The staff were friendly enough - and the hotel was spotless clean so can't complain there.. Over all the hotel has a real cheap hostel feel to it.. won't return..
