Customer Reviews for Van Belle Hotel Brussels

For the price this hotel was what you would expect. It was clean and we found the staff helpful. Location for the Eurostar was great it only took 10 mins to get there. The area was not the hub of Brussels but a 20 minute walk away took you to the main square so not too bad. All in all not bad but would we stay there again no as next time we would pick somewhere more central and expect to pay around 20-40 pounds more

Really very pleasant hotel for the price, the service was friendly and the room I was in was of a decent standard. Only a 10 min walk from Midi Station. However area of the city is not the best but then for one night it was fine.

The first receptionist was ignorant, rude and very unhelpful. We were tired having travelled overland from Prague and walked from the railway station (which we had been assurred was a 10-15 minute walk - this was not true with suitcases). The bed and bath room were clean, although the hotel in general is in need of a freshen up. I will look for somewhere else for my next visit to Brussels. The evening meal and internet were both satisfactory, and there was lots of hot water for showering.

My girlfriend and I found this an very good hotel. It had everything we wanted: proximity to the Grand Place and Gare du Midi(where the bus from Charleroi airport) both about 15-20mins walking, big buffet breakfast, decent rooms(even if a bit dated) with good size bath in the bathroom and an onsite bar for a late night drink. The only downside was the area as it was very dark at night and was located in old neighbourhood with rough characters hanging around street corners. But if this was a minor worry, the hotel offered a free evening shuttle bus service to the city centre and Gare du Midi. Excellent for the price!
