Customer Reviews for Vendome Hotel Nice
Our Customer stayed here in February 2011
This hotel is conveniently located, close to the train station and main shopping area.
The hotel is beautiful on the outside, a little less appealing in the main entrance hall but the rooms were very nice with good sized bathrooms.
We were on the 5th floor and were given a lovely wrap around balcony(unfortunetly it was raining though so we couldnt enjoy it).
The beds are fairly small and for some reason there was no hook on the wall for a 'stand up' shower (i.e had to hold the shower over our heads while standing in the bath) but overall the rooms are quite good.
The breakfast was adequate. Great selection of ham, cheese and pastries and good coffee.
The only complaint I would make about this hotel is that the walls are paper thin!

Our Customer stayed here in March 2008
The Vendome Hotel in Nice proved to be an excellent basis to explore the general area- the Old Town and Port, the main Railway and Bus stations as well as the main museums were within walking distance[well, the Matisse Museum and Chagall Museum were quite a hike but we could easily have taken a local bus- but the view was worth the effort]. The rooms were relatively sound-proofed with double glazed windows[quite important as the hotel is close to the Promenade des Anglais.
The room was traditionally decorated in the French style and in true French style, was quite small-but adequate for a short stay. Breakfast was efficiently served with a good range of cold stuff- cereals, cold meats , cheese, croissants .
The staff were absolutely charming and very helpful - the Management should be proud of them all as they really set the tone of the holiday. Quite exceptionally efficient and friendly.
All in all, I would readily recommend this hotel to friends.
