Room was clean, warm and comfortable. The hotel has carparking in a courtyard which is probably an advantage to some. My room was not in the main building - it was in the outside courtyard. Although the area felt secure, I felt a little vulnerable not being within the hotel. The breakfast was extremely basic - tea/coffee, rice crispies/cornflakes, white bread but no brown, juice, jams, hams and cheese. The main reason I am giving a "Below Average" rating was the lack of friendliness of the man behind reception. He was very unhelpful. For example I mentioned that the kettle in my room was broken and he just shrugged and said he had no more. No apology.

The hotel is located in a very central location, you can either walk to Stratford Station which will only take you about 15 to 20 minutes or just take a bus 25 or 86. The room was medium size ( I have stayed in other hotels like those in Russell Square, but they are very small ). The room was very clean and the bathroom seems very newly installed. Breakfast could have been better, only toast and cereals are provided but given the price this is understandable. If I come to London another time, I will stay again in the same hotel.

The Viking Hotel is ideally situated for operatives working on projects in the area. The Hotel offers good quality accommodation at a reasonable rate with car park provided. Only complaint from our Operatives is that they would prefer a cooked breakfast and facilities for an evening meal. Book early as this hotel is block booked by companies.

We arrived at 9am after a long ferry and rail journey from Dublin and we were glad to finally be able to sleep in comfortable beds. Room was decently kept, bathroom was reasonably clean and the heat was always on. We stayed in a twin bedroom and it was located at the back of the hotel, hence, very quiet. Although the hotel was slightly far from city centre, this place is well served by public transport. We took any bus in front of the hotel to get to the Stratford underground station which is on Central Line and is about 15minutes to city centre. Night bus N86 serves the hotel after midnight. Breakfast was simple cereal, bread, tea and coffee. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, good value for the price.

Me and a friend had a work placement for a week in the area, this hotel was ideal for what we were after. The hotel was lovely and clean, there was an early check in time so we didnt have to hang around with our suitcases all day. The reception was 24hours which wasn't the case in most other places in the area. Although the motel at the side was still being built, it didn't affact our stay in the hotel. We also had a very good deal for staying the week and paid less per night than other places in the area. Breakfast is more complimentary than included in the price so dont expect too much but cereals and toast kept us going throughout the week. Travel round this area is very simple and there's a bus stop right outside the hotel. Thouroughly enjoyed our stay.

The circumstance outside the hotel is seemed not very safe, and the hotel is actually a motel, but the manager is kind.
