Our Customer stayed here in December 2010
We were very satisfied with quality and value of this hotel. Location was excellent, near to Gare de l'Est and Gare de Nord, making train, metro, and bus travel quite easy. Excellent selection of restaurants in the area, too. The room was typically small, but had very nice recently updated fittings and bed clothes. It was a little too hot for us, even with thermostat turned down, but the window opened onto a courtyard and we could crack the window (winter) to adjust the temp. Bath also small -- but well fitted with a spectacular shower (rain, body jets, and handheld all in one). Breakfast was included in our rate, and was a well presented French continental breakfast that included fresh fruit, yogurt, cheeses and sliced meats, hard-boiled eggs, and of course baguettes, croissants, and other breads. There was also cold cereal, but given the bounty of the other items, we didn't have any of that. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful - including printing our boarding passes on day of departure. There is a lift in hotel, but our room was not accessible via the lift -- so we had one flight of stairs. It was not an issue since we had small luggage, but if you have more, or have difficulty with stairs, suggest you request a room on ground level or accessible via the lift.
