Myself & my partner spent 1 night in the Vincci Capitol Madrid last weekend The position of the hotel is excellent and you can walk everywhere. Modern hotel that’s easy to miss on the Gran Via next to the Central Cinema - dark entrance and everything black & silver, modern but quite dark everywhere. Hotel is very easy to get to from the Airport you have to change metro’s 3 times but it only cost €2 each to get from door to door. The breakfast in the hotel was great plenty of food to keep you going for a few hours Room was small and we requested a double bed but ended up with two twins that where not locked together so the beds kept splitting which annoyed me a lot. I asked at reception for us to be moved to a double room as per our booking and I got told that there was none available and that they have the ability to change the double bedroom to a twin. Also the bath/shower screen didn’t stop me flooding the bathroom first time used - after that had to use a towel to seal it! The hotel gives free wifi although we got told you have to pay a deposit (€10) for a lan cable in order to get access to it.
