nice basic hotel, rooms very clean, nice atmosphere, most staff very helpful and friendly
We stayed at the Waterford Marina hotel for 4 nights, overall it was a pleasant stay and very good value for money. Staff were friendly and everywhere was spotless. Location very good, a few minutes walk into city centre. Bar food was nice and generaly we were very happy with our stay here.
Had a very enjoyable stay in the Fitzwilton Hotel at the weekend. The only fault I could find was that there were no shower caps supplied.
good size room, good location, nice staff, but no refrigerator in the room.
Cheap and cheerful, perfect for passing through.
Good value, clean, satisfactory overnight stay. I would stay again.
Very nice hotel with pleasant staff and good food. would recommend this to anyone wanting to stay outside Waterford City.
On arrival at the hotel we were informed we were being upgraded. The room we were upgraded to was beautiful. The lobby certainly makes an impression with it's beautiful finishes. We were informed of the three choices for our evening meal however there were no menus in the room. It would have been nice to make our choice without going downstairs to check out the seperate menus. The bar is quite small and we had to wait a while for a table to come free so that we could order. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. Due to a delay in my husbands meal being brought out we were offered a free round of drinks without our having to say anything. We had a very relaxing stay and will certainly stay again.
stayed in the tower for 2 nights the staff where friendly the room was very run down very dissapointed with the room it was the worst room i have ever stayed in. The swimming pool wasnt very clean only used it once because of that. The breakfast was cold we did have bar food the staff there where realy nice and the food was lovely. But over all i wouldnt stay in the tower again mainly because of the low standered of the room .
The room was beautifully laid out and had everything you could need, including hair dryer and flat screen tv. We stayed in one of the newer rooms and it was very attractively furnished. The facilities in the hotel were also top class with a swimming pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi available to all guests. The pool was quiet and supervised and had a small area for children also. My only slight problems was the double bed seemed a little small and we were at the front of the building and traffic passing was quite noisy during the night which meant the window had to be closed leaving the room stuffy. Even with this in mind I would have no hesitation in booking again.
I didn't know anything about Travel Lodge hotels until I found you on the internet. I was looking for somewhere to stay on or near the main Waterford Cork road, and was very pleased to find you. Our rooms were just what we needed, clean, spacious with all the necessary facilities ... and the price was excellent. Good value! The staff were lovely and friendly. Just one thing: the hall near the stairs going up to the bedrooms had a strange not very clean smell. We will definitely come back again. Many thanks,
Often a bit noisy as young people return during the night
This hotel is ideal for shopping or going out in Waterford. While a basic set up its to a higher standard than one would expect given the price and location. Staff are very accomadating and excellent to deal with. Room was nice with all requirements one would expect inclusive of tea/coffee facilities. I was not intending to get breakfast the next morning but as a group who stayed here I was forced to get up and go down. Have to say well done on the breakfast - great choice food very good and the staff were very attentive checking if any additional tea/coffee/ toast required. Overall I would recomend this hotel and if more staff in hotel's could use the same benchmark on hospitality perhaps it would be easier to write reviews like this one.
We stayed one of the nights of the Tall Ships 2011 so the town and hotel were hectic - but the staff couldn't have been more friendly or more helpful and in the midst of the madness they even took time to chat to us about the festivites and enquired how we had enjoyed it. The room was clean and whilst not plush - should pass anyone. Location is excellent so would recommend the hotel to anyone..
We had a lovely evening at Treacys Hotel, found the staff very helpful and friendly, had the best steak sandwich ever!!!

I have previously stayed in this hotel and always found it to be very pleasant. While the service in the hotel at the reception, the bar and in the function we attended was excellent as always I have to say the bedroom really left the hotel down on this occasion. When we checked in I asked for a non smoking room but was told there was none left and so we had to stay in the assigned room. All I can say is I couldn't wait to get out of the hotel the following morning as the smell in the room was so overpowering that even leaving the window open all night still could not remove the smell and odour of cigarette smoke. The worst part of it all was that even the sheets and bed clothes smelled of smoke. Not a good experience but hopefully going on previous experience this is just a blip and maybe to do with the fact that neither my wife or I are smokers.
their was a friendly at the reception. The rooms were lovely and clean. The entertainment was good for the kids
Staff excellent and very helpful. The room was standard but very clean lovely sea view room. Cannot not fault this hotel we will be back there again.
