All rooms feature remote controlled colour television with free in-house movies, satellite channels and radio, tea and coffee making facilities, direct dial telephone, dial-up internet & T-Mobile Hotspot wireless LAN, hair dryer and personal safe, are well lit and surprisingly quiet for such a central location. The restaurant is on the ground floor, it is decorated in peach, and is a pleasantly light and airy room, partly due to the attractive and unusual skylight. Also on the ground floor is an American style bistro and bar. The hotel's period facade is of grey stone, with elegant columns flanking the entrance, a typical example of the grand architecture that can be found in this part of London. The lobby is of medium size and classically decorated using traditional colours and wood furniture. There is a large wooden desk to the left of the reception, and a comfortable sitting area to the right, with a glass lift in the centre. This is a comfortable 4* hotel set in an unbeatable location, closed to the main shopping districts and major tourist attractions. (01/09 RPL)

Great hotel. Very modern, very clean, nicely furnished rooms (not huge but adequate). Staff all very friendly. Only 5 mins walk from British Museum.
Great location for West End and Heathrow transport....really good breakfast...lovely white crisp sheets...lots hot water in shower....tea/coffee making with lovely biscuits...very friendly staff ....very helpful. Room very warm but had aircon...little noisy....so shut the windows!!! rather obvious!!!
Conveniently located. Friendly and helpful staff. Otherwise disappointing - decor tired and and in need of updating; bathroom in room 706 clean but old tiles cracked in places with discoloured grouting; old fashioned and worn fittings. Windows too high in room- unable to see out. All in all quite an oppressive feel to the room. Heating was efficient. Bed linen clean and comfortable. Breakfast adequate. At the price perhaps we should have anticipated this.
We were anxious to have our booking confirmed so on the day of travel rang the hotel, left a message with reservations who failed to contact us on our mobile as requested. However on arrival we had a friendly greeting and were able to access the room without waiting until 3pm. The receptionist changed our room from 6th floor to 2nd as I do not like lifts. The room was ok; clean, but in need of refurbishment and the plumbing was very sluggish. The breakfast was good but the food would have benefitted from not staying so long in the hot plates. We enjoyed our stay.
Room OK, old fashioned but clean with decent bed, aircon, tv etc etc. This hotel is in a good location for theatres, tube, British Museum & shops
