classic and clean and nice

We had a large room with kitchen facilities. The hotel has a free parking. The breakfast is basic. Considering the price, it is a very good choice especially if you have a car. If not, it is close to a train station.

Good location about 15 minutes by tram from Zurich center. I had a single room with bathroom. Slept well when I closed the window. Good sound proofing despite being on busy street. Good bar opposite hotel. Staff at Hotel very frendly and helpful. Very good breakfast.

I have stayed in the Allegra several times on business and had no complaints. However, on this occasion I was very dissappointed. In the height of summer, there was no air conditioning in the bedrooms. It was practically impossible to sleep!

Very nice stay, staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was rather limited in choice and room service was very expensive, charging 14CHF for just bringing the tray to the room! The room was unbearably hot and the windows were locked so couldnt be opened. At least the staff provided a fan but still the room was too hot. Overall quite satisfied but they need to seriously address the heating - we were told the heating is centrally controlled and they couldnt change it. Train station is just behind hotel yet the rooms are well sound protected so it doesnt disturb your stay. The room itself was very spacious and nice (apart from the heating).

The Wellenberg hotel is very centrally located in Zurich. It is less than 10 minutes from the central train station, which services the local airport. Travelling by public transport is about 10% the cost of taking a taxi. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was satisfactory. There were tea and coffee making faciities in the room, which had a chic urban design. All in all, I would have no complaints about the hotel except the price. But since Zurich is such an expensive city, the hotel didn't offer bad value.

My stay could not been any better was a perfect stay staff fas friendly and helpful.

on a recent visit to my hotel in Zurich I must say it got off to a very good start with the courtesy bus taking me to my hotel destination very quickly and with a friendly driver. On checking in I just gave my name but the pleasant male receptionest didnt have a record of my actual name , so luckily I had my Roomex details with me. After a slight heart attack everything was fine ! I was offered a welcome drink ( a soft one!) at reception which was extremely well received and a nice surprise. The remainder of my hotel experience was excellent, as in room , lobby, restaurants and all staff were top class. I will make a point in returning to this particular hotel and wish to thank Roomex for allowing me experience this top class accommodation in Zurich Switzerland.

We stayed at Platenhof Hotel in Zurich for 3 nights an a holiday trip. Although the hotel does not have an impressive look from the outside the interior is impressive. Near the reception there is bar-cafe and close by there is a good Italian restaurant. The room was spacious and clean with all the necessary comforts. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. Moreover, the hotel is only 10 minutes away by tram from the city center. The tram tickets were also available at the reception. We couldn't expect anything more for the price we paid and we would recommend this hotel without any hesitation.

I have stayed at this hotel many times now. It is ideally located directly opposite the railway station. It is a very elegant hotel that I would highly recommend.
