I really enjoyed my overnight stay in Albany House Hotel. My trip was for business meetings and the WiFi in the room was very convenient. I work for a disability organisation and the absence of level access and a lift meant that for me I could not award this hotel a 'Suberb' rating. I fully appreciated that the style and architecture on this street precludes the changes that would make this hotel fully accessible. Thanks to management and Staff.
The Albany House Hotel is a small hotel in an excellent location. The staff were very helpful and friendly throughout my stay. Although the décor is a little dated, the rooms are warm and comfortable and the facilities work as you would expect. The breakfast was good - cereals, breads, etc. - and more than filling enough to get you through the morning.

This is a budget hotel that does things well. The rooms are basic and most of them are overlooking Harcourt St which can get quite noisy at night (and the windows are not soundproof by any means!). However the rooms are clean, comfortable and well maintained. Breakfast is simple, efficient and the staff are friendly. Combine that with the excellent location and great value price and it's easy to see why you would keep coming back.

For the price paid and the location Albany House is great however don't expect the little things because it is quite basic. I was in a downstairs room which was very basic. No tissues in the room/bathroom only toilet roll. Soap and conditioning shampoo no shower gel. Tea and coffee facilities but no biscuits. Bed was kinda hard and pillows have definitely seen better days. No topsheet on the bed only a duvet. Breakfast is again basic tea/coffee, toast, cereal and juice. Staff were friendly and location is brilliant.
I stayed years ago in the upstairs rooms which were typical rooms in an old Georgian house I wonder are they still as nice.
Overall good value for money considering what I paid.

Just a pitty no food outside breakfast was available. Not even vending machines. The nearest shop or newsagent was quiet a distance away.or perhaps takeaway menus provide to their guests so that they can order in to their rooms.
