Rooms are from medium to large in size. All furniture has been designed ad hoc for this property and the careful utilization of spaces and materials has produced a very interesting outcome, especially for art and architecture lovers. Every room is equipped with the Alter Hotel courtesy line and with precious Frette linen. Every morning free distribution on the rooms floor of fresh fruit, still and sparkling water and newspapers. The restaurant respects the modern style of the hotel offering typical Piedmont cuisine. This building construction began at the end of the 19th Century and finished in the early 1920s. Originally it was the place of production of alcohol and fruit jams, then it became a textile factory. Burned during the second World War, the production stopped in 1971 and the building was abandoned. After a complete restoration this hotel is now a prestigious example of industrial archeology. The lobby is medium in size and tastefully decorated in pastel shades giving a very comfortable atmosphere. Between the reception area and the Alter garden, there is a nice Cafeteria Bistrot Lacet, the ideal place to have a brunch and relax. This is a very good property. The hotel was at the beginning a former distillery built at the end of 19th century and then a textile mill. The additional unique element of this property is an amazing private collection of vintage cars dated back to the Twenties. This treasure is located inside the hotel, in a fantastic garage-museum. Moreover squash and tennis courts, gym and sauna are at guest disposal.

The hotel is located in Barge, facing the Monviso mountain and it is about 45 minutes by car from Turin. The hotel is well connected to Turin by the motorway that goes from Turin to Pinerolo.
