Very nice hotel, large rooms, good breakfast, beautiful Roman ruins in the mezzanine basement, very central, helpful staff, u/ground parking, have stayed there numerous times.
Only negative is the driver of the taxi the hotel called for me to bring me to the airport fiddled the meter and tried to charge me 2.5 times the price. As I well used to the Sofia taxi drivers over the past number of years, I waited until I got to the airport, asked for the receipt, got my luggage and looked around and asked the driver if he saw a policeman as there was something wrong with his meter. He understood straight away and I gave him the normal fare as there was no policeman nearby and I was rushing for my flight.
Not the hotel's fault of course but they should really use only one or two reputable taxi firms.
