The Great National is a lovely hotel with friendly staff, fantastic food and the creamy Guinness served in the bar is of high standard. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The location is a little out of town but there is ample parking. The banquet hall is large and really suitable as a wedding venue.

Lovely staff and hotel. Just lacking attention to cleaning. There was a stain on duvet cover, gum on the toilet cistern/ tiled area. They could be a little more generous with towels. Only a bath towel and hand towel each. But the price was fantastic.

Nice hotel, not a 4 star as advertised but clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was basic not much variety. Nice touch having blankets available in the lobby as the Irish weather isn't exactly the warmest! Rooms are clean but basic and need a few improvements such as a descent shower and the leather upholstery on the arm chair was torn allot. Overall a good base to stay but not worth the 4 star rating or prices!
