This is a basic hotel in a very good location, 300 yards away from Earls Court Tube Station. The hotel is somewhat dated in decor and carpets a bit tired looking but the sheets were clean, the bathroom was clean and the breakfast was good. As always we got great value by booking on Roomex.com and the location was great as we were exhibiting in the Earls Court Exhibition Centre. I would have no issue in recommending this hotel but it is basic. One last note, the power in the shower on the top floor was weak at 8am, so either shower a bit earlier or ask not to be on the top floor !

This was my first time to stay in Barkston Gardens Hotel but it won't be my last! It's in an ideal location, less than 10 minutes walk from Earls Court tube station, so very handy for sight-seeing. The hotel itself was very clean, with a nice lobby area and a bar. The room (I was sharing a twin room) was a decent size and very clean, as was the bathroom and had all the usual things like hairdryer, TV and tea/coffee making facilities. The breakfast (we had continental breakfast included in the price)was fine and you also had the option of paying a little extra for the full English breakfast. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and I will definitely stay there again on another visit to London.

The Hotel is the perfect location for access to Heathrow and Central London. The tube station is only a few minutes walk away. The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful. My single room was basic, slightly old-fashioned, but spotlessly clean. I would use the hotel again and would recommend it to others.

Barkston Gardens is literally a three minutes walk from Earls Court tube station so it is very convenient.
The room was bigger than the average budget hotel in London if a little dreary but it was clean, warm and had all the essentials.
Free wifi is also a plus.
Staff were friendly although the breakfast room manager was in a hell of a hurry to clear the room bang on 10.00 am on a Saturday morning.
Breakfast is ok - cereal, fruit, some cold meat etc - filling enough.
Free Independent (English version not Irish Independent) a nice touch.
Would you use again.
