This is a very nice hotel with a friendly, lively atmosphere. The Hotel base is ideal for both business and pleasure, and is only 20 minutes away from the Birmingham N.E.C. Location is in the heart of this historic City, adjoining the famous Coventry Cathedral. The Hotel is within walking distance to both Coventry Transport Museum and the Belgrade Theatre. (GW 05/2008)

Very disappointing experience. A bit of a Fawlty Towers experience to be honest. Carpet in bedroom appeared to have been eaten away in spots! Decor extremely dated. Room like a sauna but unable (staff member tried) to turn off heat in room. I understand from staff member that other rooms had similar issues-many Windows appeared to be open wide despite it being December. Dining experience (breakfast only) was, quite simply, awful meaning that, despite the fact that we had paid for full breakfast, we stuck with tea/coffee and toast. We witnessed a female staff member rubbing dirt from cutlery (with he fingers!) before putting it on tables. Also, paper napkins were left on floor under tables after tables were re-set for next diners. All-in-all, this was not a good experience. This hotel needs a serious face-lift.
