The rooms are clean, bright and spacious and come equipped with all modern amenities including wireless broadband, etc. Pj's Restaurant and The Shamrock Bar serve breakfast, carvery lunch and an a la carte menu on a daily basis. Wherever possible they will use locally-sourced ingredients in their international cuisine. For something completely different there is a medieval themed banquet in Bunratty Castle. This is a traditional low rise building that has been carefully designed to fit inconspicuously into Bunrattys charming scenery. The surrounding landscape is attractive forest and grassland and the hotel is set slightly back into the trees. The lobby is large in size and has plenty of seating; in keeping with the theme of the hotel. In general the lobby is traditionally furnished with modern touches here and there that do not spoil the overall effect. It is a very pleasant place to relax with a paper and a coffee. There is also a separate conservatory open to guests. Keeping in touch with the local surroundings of medieval Bunratty, the hotel was designed with elegance and tradition foremost in mind. It would be suitable for both leisure and business travellers and has not only leisure facilities including fully equipped leisure centre (Gym, Sauna, Steam Room, Jacuzzi and indoor heated pool), but also conference facilities for 1200 persons. The hotel is just 9km from the Shannon Airport and 15km from Limerick. It is situated in its own wooded grounds next to Bunratty Castle.
Staff not very helpful on arrival.floor of corridor, leading to bedrooms very shabby, carpets torn.
Bedroom itself very adequate. tea/coffee facilities, tv.,clean bathroom.
Just fine for a quick stay, we were at a wedding locally. value for money as we spent so little time there, but wont be returning again any time soon.
i stayed in the hotel with my boyfriend for a well deserved break. we are going to new york in december and this was our only break all year and we both were far from disappointed. on arrival the check in process was very pleasant. our room was very clean and spacious. it was extremely close to all ameneties especially the pub. a particular special touch was the vending machine in the corridor which helped get rid of late night cravings after a night out. the breakfast was beautiful as with buffet you can pick out what you want. many thanks and i would defenitely recommend this hotel.

Room was clean but nothing special. Good value for a ...
We had a wonderful weekend in Bunratty. The staff were very courteous, the food was lovely, just all in all the weekend was brilliant.
You could see that the rooms were being upgraded so you didn't mind the slight datedness of some of the rooms (it added to the charm of the place) and because the bar atmosphere was great and the food excellent. The lobby area was fantastic social area - we meet some lovely people which you wouldn't normally get the chance to in other hotels. It was like a home from home and the staff couldn't do enough without being intrusive - nothing was too much trouble.
