The rooms are all in very good condition and decorated in a traditional style with all expected modern facilities. The Court Room restaurant is grand and formal, whilst a more relaxed atmosphere can be found in the Derby Bar or on the sun terrace. A traditional castle with turrets, courtyards and landscaped gardens. The lobby is a grand entrance hall. The hotel has played host to the likes of Oliver Cromwell and James II. Now the hotel has its own 9-hole golf course and excellent fishing and horse riding are available nearby.

Set within 88 acres of parkland, now part of the beautiful Dun a Ri National Forest Park, the castle is about an hour and a half's drive from either Dublin or Belfast.
A very warm welcome received, hotel was brilliant. Room was amazing with an even more amazing bathroom. Very luxurious and spacious and spotlessly clean. We had dinner there on the evening we stayed and this too was fabulous food, very well cooked and extremely tasty. Dessert was out of this world. I would highly recommend a stay here. The hotel, restaurant, bar and surrounding lands are well worth a visit. The staff were very helpful and peasant to deal with. We stayed here to treat ourselves and we certainly got what we needed. The scenery is beautiful around the castle also.
