The hotel is located opposite Finsbury Park within three minutes walk of Finsbury Park station (Victoria and Piccadilly lines) and only two stops away from Kings Cross in the heart of London. Fashionable Islington is a mere five minutes bus ride away.
The rooms vary in size and they all enjoy natural daylight, are very simply decorated but very functional. All the rooms have laminated wooden floors, walls are painted in cream colour, and blue/yellow curtains and bedspreads. All equipped with television, reading lights by bed head-rest. The restaurant is located in the ground floor, next to reception. A small staircase leads to the big breakfast room. The breakfast room is simply decorated but very large and well set up, something rare in this category of hotels. It serves Continental Breakfast only with a choice of cereals, juice, coffee and tea, cheese, toasts, butter, jam.
This is an attractive period, 19th century town house, brick and stucco building with a glass doors entrance flanked by columns.
The lobby is of medium size, simply decorated but well distributed, breakfast room and car park entrance leading directly to it. There is an additional sitting area with sofas and armchairs adjacent to the check in desk. There is no lift in the hotel.

Hotel is OK. I use it to stay when going to the Emirates Stadium to see Arsenal. It is only 5 mins walk from Finsbury Park underground and is about a 15 min walk away from the Stadium. It is a place to sleep and the breakfast is fine. I have stayed in this hotel a good few times at this stage and I know what to expect at this stage.
We have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions and found it satisfactory but this time round, I was a little disappointed with it. There was no plug stopper for the wash basin in the toilet, there was no glasses in the bathroom to rinse after washing teeth, and I was informed that the tea making facility has been removed from all the rooms in the hotel, a retrograde step in my view. Why do we stay there, it is central to the transport facilities in the area.
I find this hotel very good. The room is nice and clean and the bed comfortable. The shower and toilet facilities are adequate. When I stay in London this is the hotel I always try to book into. Pity the lift was not working but I was only on the first floor.

The room was nice and clean. The only comment I would like to bring to the attention of the hotel is the Bathroom area. There was no stopper for the sink and the grouting on the shower wall was in need of some replacement, otherwise it was fine. I will be staying there again when I visit London next month.

The staff on the reception desk were fairly indifferent to us, not rude but far from friendly. When we entered the room our first impression was that we were in a hospital ward, it was very drab. The furniture in the room consisted of 3 beds, a wardrobe, one locker and a chest of drawers. The locker and the chest of drawers were both clearly broken and had bits falling off them. The temperature in the room was far too hot and we were all awake all night the first night there because of the heat. Also there were a school group from Italy staying in the hotel and as a result there was large groups of teenagers hanging around the hallways making noise for most of the night. There was also a noise like a bathroom fan going on all night that we couldn't work out where it was coming from. All in all not a lot of sleep was had in this hotel room.
