Stayed at the Clarion Liffey Valley. Check in was very slow, queue getting longer yet reception staff, seemed unconcerned, and often two members of staff would be chatting among themselves instead of getting on and clearing the backlog of guests. Parking ticket validation system not explained. Breakfast was not up to 4 star. I have stayed in hostels that have been better. I was shown to a table with no teacup, or salt and pepper. Asked for teacup twice but neither staff member returned with it so gave up and went back to my room to make my own. On the plus side, I was put in apartment suite, which was lovely, bed was amazingly comfortable, suite was spotless and staff friendly.

Very disappointed with my recent stay at the Clarion Hotel Dublin Liffey Valley. As a lone traveler I chose to use room service. 50 minutes to place an order despite speaking to reception several times. The food was of a very poor standard and I waited another 45 minutes for service. Breakfast was something similar there appeared to be nobody in charge of the restaurant several of the serving dishes remained empty, tea and coffee was cold. Tables remained unclean.

Hotel room was fine. The restaurant serves great food. The usual delays on checking in, can't understand why this hasn't been addressed to date. Our room was very far away from reception and on two occasions when we got back to the room the door key would not work so back to reception and the queue to reactivate the key. After the second time my sister was told if the key was placed beside a phone it would deactivate it. Might be no harm to mention this to guests on check in or even after the first deactivation to save guests trekking back to reception and adding to the already timely queue. Better still fix the problem so god forbid people can keep the key and their phone in the same pocket or bag. Will try and avoid booking here in the future if possible.

Room was of very high standard. Choice available for food was limited to high end of market with light snacks limited but there are plenty of opportunities close by at Lemongrass restaurant and Liffey Valley food quarter. There are queues at every stage i.e. registration, table for breakfast, check out but at least they move pretty quickly. This hotel could be regarded as very good if the queues were sorted.

The room was very good and the house keeping staff were very friendly. The price was excellent and the breakfast was very good. Apart from check in trying to charge me a higher rate for the room already pre paid, I had no issues. I would stay here again
