Stayed at the Clarion Liffey Valley. Check in was very slow, queue getting longer yet reception staff, seemed unconcerned, and often two members of staff would be chatting among themselves instead of getting on and clearing the backlog of guests. Parking ticket validation system not explained. Breakfast was not up to 4 star. I have stayed in hostels that have been better. I was shown to a table with no teacup, or salt and pepper. Asked for teacup twice but neither staff member returned with it so gave up and went back to my room to make my own. On the plus side, I was put in apartment suite, which was lovely, bed was amazingly comfortable, suite was spotless and staff friendly.

Very disappointed with my recent stay at the Clarion Hotel Dublin Liffey Valley. As a lone traveler I chose to use room service. 50 minutes to place an order despite speaking to reception several times. The food was of a very poor standard and I waited another 45 minutes for service. Breakfast was something similar there appeared to be nobody in charge of the restaurant several of the serving dishes remained empty, tea and coffee was cold. Tables remained unclean.

Hotel room was fine. The restaurant serves great food. The usual delays on checking in, can't understand why this hasn't been addressed to date. Our room was very far away from reception and on two occasions when we got back to the room the door key would not work so back to reception and the queue to reactivate the key. After the second time my sister was told if the key was placed beside a phone it would deactivate it. Might be no harm to mention this to guests on check in or even after the first deactivation to save guests trekking back to reception and adding to the already timely queue. Better still fix the problem so god forbid people can keep the key and their phone in the same pocket or bag. Will try and avoid booking here in the future if possible.

Room was of very high standard. Choice available for food was limited to high end of market with light snacks limited but there are plenty of opportunities close by at Lemongrass restaurant and Liffey Valley food quarter. There are queues at every stage i.e. registration, table for breakfast, check out but at least they move pretty quickly. This hotel could be regarded as very good if the queues were sorted.

We booked a room only deal for two nights through Roomex as it was the best deal and value for money. The hotel was perfect for our visit. We had an excellent experience in our most recent overnight stay in the CLARION HOTEL LIFFEY Valley. The booking in was fast and very efficient. The receptionist offered us an upgrade being repeat customers. We accepted her offer. We were directed our apartment. It was most spacious, clean and had all facilities. Breakfast fast with good food in abundance for the self service. Newspapers were available for guests booking in and again at breakfast. Checking out was fast and dealt with in a very professional manner. We are delighted to recommend this Hotel to anyone seeking accommodation.

Had a very enjoyable stay at the Clarion Hotel Liffey Valley on the bank holiday weekend. We had 2 interconnecting rooms which worked really well with cots provided for the 2 little ones. The girls had a great time, swimming on the Sunday afternoon and then again on Monday morning. The pool temperature was suitable for young toddlers and the changing facilities very clean with underfloor heating in the changing area. Breakfast buffet was a great selection and very tasty food, clean plates for everyone. Would definitely recommend Clarion Liffey Valley for a great family time, friendly stay and we will be back again for another stay.

Disappointing experience. Huge delay waiting for check in allocated a room in family area of the hotel (even though we were not travelling with children) which resulted in us not getting much sleep as young children in adjacent rooms woke up during the night and were awake & moving around very early on both morning of our stay. Breakfast was a disaster - the tables are much too close to each other, resulting in everyone brushing against neighbouring table, basis choice of food & certainly not what I expect from a 4 star hotel, items were not replaced quickly & service was poor, despite an large number of staff on duty. I paid €150 for 2 nights B&B for a double room. Secure underground car-parking at a cost of €5.00 per night. Good points were comfortable, spacious room, secure car-parking at reasonable rate, good value for hotel room in Dublin on a Friday & Saturday night.

We checked in at 7.00 pm. I presented my print off having booked on line with yourselves. I asked about the free car parking included in package. I had to get ticket from machine to allow me enter the car park. Receptionist was not aware that car parking included. She read the sheet. A gentleman then appeared from behind. He looked at my printout as well. Receptionist then gave me a ticket which gave me free use of car park. At later stage she gave me an extra few as well. I then asked about the reference on my sheet of 25 euro voucher available for food bar if dinner booked. Told him we would be eating in. I felt his approach left a lot to be desired. He said that the 25 euro voucher only applied if I went for the dinner at the time I booked with yourselves. He said this offer was from yourselves and not from the hotel. I said that the hotel were prepared to do business with yourselves. Both his attitude and facial expression were not customer friendly. He displayed a disliking for me which my daughter also noted as she arranged to meet us at reception? Staff did not show that they were familiar with your package. We had food in the bar and paid fully for it. After our checking in experience the remainder of our stay was excellent. Rooms comfortable, breakfast good and checkout friendly and efficient. Receptionist booked a taxi for to go for medical pro recurs. An excellent experience muddied by the actions of this bespectacled gentleman.

After a long drive on a horrible cold wet night we arrived to the hotel. The hotel was decorated beautifully with a large Christmas tree in reception and tasteful decorations all around giving a lovely warm cosy feeling to the place. The lady on reception who couldn't be more helpful gave us a beautiful room with a balcony. We decided to have dinner in the Italian Restaurant which was beautiful and had a lovely ambiance. We retired to the bar for a few relaxing drinks to finish the night after a wonderful evening. Breakfast in the morning was a buffet bar which had a great selection of food. Overall, would definitely recommend but would go early to really enjoy the full experience!

Room was good value (€52) for night, but quality was pretty poor. Windows didn't close properly, meaning hum from A/C outside window droned. Shower was awful. My tablet was bigger than the telly. I guess room 117 is just one of the poorer rooms and price reflected, but I wouldn't stay again.

On arrival we received a very warm welcome. As we arrived at 10.30 our room was not available which was most understandable, the receptionist nonetheless offered us any assistance she could give us including storing our luggage in a secure place. On making an enquiry with the restaurant receptionist regarding dining facilities, which she dealt with in great detailed, she asked what our plans were for the day and immediately accompanied me to the information stand and after giving me a copy of the Dublin tourist map took the time to show me the various places of interest. I was very impressed and would like to sincerely say a big thank you to this lovely and helpful young lady. On checking in at about 8.00 the gentleman at reception was once again very welcoming and helpful and surprised us by informing us that they had upgraded us to family suite free of charge. The suite was very comfortable with loads of room. Overall a very enjoyable and relaxing stay.

The Clarion is an excellent hotel with spacious family rooms which are clean and well equipped especially the high speed internet access which is the best I have noted anywhere. The staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel is within walking distance of Liffey Valley Shopping Centre. We usually stay there when we are in Dublin due to the hotels ease of access from the West of Ireland and close proximity to the M50.

Arriving at the hotel I was told there was not a room available but I would be upgraded to an apartment. The apartment was reasonable but extremely noisy with people coming and going all night, doors banging and continous noise. There was no tea or coffee making facilities in the apartment. In all it was a big let down. A room was booked in the hotel and should have been available. I am very dissapointed with Clarion Hotel.

I had a very relaxing, enjoyable weekend. I met my children & their partners there for the weekend. The food in the Synergy restaurant was delicious on the Friday night. We ate in Kudos bar after the match on Saturday. I had the fish and chips which was tasty but the batter was a bit soggy - minor detail. Plenty of choice for breakfast & we were able to sit for ages chatting and eating. The staff were friendly & helpful. The atmosphere was relaxed and happy & the hotel spotless. The hotel itself was easy to get to even if travelling by public transport. I'd definitely stay there again.

I recently stayed on the Clarion Liffey Valley hotel with my two young daughters during the February half-term break. We enjoyed our stay greatly. We got a very good rate, including breakfast, with Roomex. Our check-in was quick and friendly, we were given information about breakfast, the leisure centre and the free wi-fi in the rooms, which is new. Our triple room was on the third floor. It was clean and bright but quite basic with only one chair and not much spare room. There were tea and coffee making facilities and a small fridge which we found very handy to keep soft drinks and snacks in. The bathroom was clean and there were plenty of good towels. The hotel have installed new flat screen tv's in the room which were not there on our last visit and the tv worked well and had a good selection of channels. The wi-fi in the room was great and the girls loved being able to use their iPad. Breakfast was served buffet style till ten each morning. There were no queues which we has experienced here before, maybe because this was a mid-week stay. The breakfast was very good on our first two mornings. Plenty of cereals, juices, hot food choices, fruit, cheeses, meets, rolls and pastries. But on our last two mornings there were problems in that the food and juices and crockery were not being replenished at a speedy enough rate and we had to wait for milk for our cereal and for juice and for some of the hot food options. The staff did not seem to be keeping an eye on things and only replenished them when asked instead of when needed. We ate in the bar one evening and the Aisian style food was very good but service was quite slow, perhaps because the bar was very busy with lots of families and groups of people. We used the pool in the leisure centre every day and found it fine and the changing rooms were kept very clean and tidy. We slept well at night as our room was quiet and nicely warm. We found the staff generally fine, could be a bit friendlier but no problems with them really. The location of the hotel, near the shopping centre was very good for us too. I felt our stay was very good value for money. There are not many hotels in Dublin with pools and the Clarion Liffey Valley is a very good standard hotel for the great rate that we got on Roomex.

Our stay at the clarion Liffey valley was great, good food for breakfast, rooms were spotless and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The swimming pool was great fun and again the facilities in the changing area were spotless. I would recommend this hotel for families, free wifi in all the rooms was great. Just down the road was the Liffey valley shopping mall, this was fab, all the shops you can imagine plus the cue cinema and several eateries such as nandos and spur steak and grill. We ate at a lovely Chinese called the lemongrass which was a few metres walk from the hotel, this was really impressive, lovely food, lovely staff and a great atmosphere all round. The only negative thing I have to say is that the hotel is further from dublin city centre than we were led to believe and it was eighteen euro in a taxi to get to town. We'll worth a visit.

The hotel location is perfect when you want to get into the city during the day for a bit of shoping or site seeing (bus only 2.70) then get away from the husel and bussel in the city at night..We arrived at the hotel early 11.30 ish and got some lunch in the bar which was delicious (toasty served with salad ) We said we wud check in but dnt expect a room to be ready for us but we were given our keys straight away - without even a comment or thought..Very happy with that..The room location was a bit away from reception but none the less a bit of excercise... That nite we had a dinner reservation for 8.00 in the restuarant..There was a few in the restuarant but there did not seem to be a whole pile of staff..We had to ask to get our order taken, sat for 35mins before getting our started and ask for our drinks that we ordered at 8.15. The started was delicious (we choose from the €25 for 3 course menu)...we waitied a further 30mins for mains (also had to ask waitress to check for us) then the same with dessert.) The food I have to say was beautiful we could not fault , hot tasty and good portions but we felt having to wait so long kinda took from thwe experiece..There was peo who came in after us up and gone well before we finished..We got up from our table at approx 10:05..Thankfully we had no where to be as this would have ruined our plans... The bar area was lovely where we sat after to get a drink..the cleanliness of the hotel was great, staff friendly in reception, bar and even when you met them on the corridoor. The only downfall of this hotel stay was the lenght it took to get our food..I would still return to this hotel.. (Another little token which i was very impressed with was when we got a cup of tea with our lunch there was one biscuit on the side) luved that !!)

From the moment we entered the doors of the hotel we were kindly greeted and made very welcome. The rooms were in great condition and beds were very comfortable. The Shower was fantastic the pressure is better than the one we have at home.....this hotel is a MUST for anybody visiting Dublin or going to an o2 event like us or even just a shopping trip in the nearby liffey valley shopping centre which was another bonus to the hotel as it was in such a close proximity we walked over in two minutes. They also had their own rank of taxis so transport was easily sorted if you don't have a car. The car-park was free for first three hours and only 4 euros for the overnight stay. Finally the breakfast was absolutely delicious....service was amazing:)

The breakfast really was superb but the only problem was the leisure center it was very busy the water in the pool was disgusting you could barely see the bottom of the pool i wouldn't risk swimming in it!!! the other facilities seemed quite clean. Lovely hotel and very friendly staff, food excellent from the Kudos Restaurant. One small thing we stayed in room 302 just at the start of a corridor every time a person came through the door we could hear the noise of the door opening and closing rather loudly and found it hard to sleep. We have stayed here many times and never had a problem and will stay again in the future.

Away from the hustle bustle of the city, brilliant leisure facilities, next door to the Liffey Valley shopping centre with an abundance of shops and the vue cinema for entertainment at night . The breakfast was very substantial and great choice also . We will definitly be returning ! Thanks Roomex .

Staff on Reception and in Restaurant were very very helpful and pleasant. My issue is with the Hotel itself. My double room shared with my daughter absolutely stank of stale urine. In general the hotel needs refurbishment and complete overhaul. Beds were clean.Room Service was good. Bedroom telephone not working properly. Internet and printer not working properly in Foyer, another guest trying to use it had same experience. The Receptionist was very helpful and printed out my google map etc but I had already lost E2.00 in the other Work Station. No Airconditioning. Appreciate it is a budget hotel and served my purpose but I will not be paying another visit unless I am really stuck. My daugher is 18 yrs old and was sick from the smell in the room. Again Staff were excellent bearing in mind they were very busy.

We booked this hotel through roomex for a very competitive price for bed and breakfast. The hotel is in a good location for Dublin City Centre sitting on the main bus route in. The hotel itself however leaves a lot to be desired. The night we stayed was the All-Ireland hurling replay, so the hotel was full to the brim. This may explain the poor service on offer, but does not excuse it. When we arrived we were surprised we had to pay for parking in a hotel on the outskirts of the city. It wasn't expensive however €4 for 24 hours. We had to queue 15 minutes to check in. We were told we had been upgraded to an apartment. That was pleasing to hear. It had plenty of space, but overlooked the main road into the liffeyvalley shopping centre. However it does quieten down at night, so you can sleep. Lighting in the bedroom is very poor, with only low voltage lamps and no main light in such a big room. If you lose anything small you might not find it until the morning when you get daylight into the room! We attempted to arrange a taxi into the city centre from reception and concierge several times before we planned to leave, but go no answer from either. However, when we walked back towards reception from our room, there were signs for a taxi company that could be contacted directly. Just as well, as the hotel were no help in that regard. The only other service we used was the restaurant for breakfast the next day. I'll just describe it as "chaotic". People everywhere looking lost. The reason for this was because they were waiting for staff to replenish all parts of the buffet. Fruit ran out, bowls, milk etc. The quality of the food was poor in general. The orange juice was got from a machine and was shockingly bad. All in all I would describe our rating as just about satisfactory. The good things were the price, upgrading of room and we got the parking for free due to the hotel acknowledging the poor breakfast service that morning. The bad things I have described already above. Would I stay again? No. There is no excuse for bad service, even on a busy weekend. More staff should have been brought in to cover.

The hotell facilities were excellent and staff were very friendly and helpful which always helps to make a stay away from home more pleasant. Both breakfast and lunch gave plenty of tasty options and service was quick. My ensuite bedroom was roomy, comfortable and very clean. The only drawback was that the lighting was dim as there is no central light in the bedrom/living area, lighting being provided by 3 lamps located on bedside lockers and a table. While this type of lighting is adequate for reading in bed it is not adequate if you have paperwork to read at night time which I unfortunately had. Car parking facilities are adequate and there is a lift from the car park up towards the reception area. I had some difficulty parking my car as the spaces seemed quite tight.

Rooms were spacious and clean, pool and sauna area was as nice as it looked in the preview pictures.I had a lovely quiet swim around 7o'clock, but it did look very busy with kids earlier. Staff were friendly and helpful. My only meal with the hotel was breakfast which was on a par with other hotels, nothing exceptional. I didnt have a hot breakfast and it appeared to me there may have been an additional charge for this, but I'm not sure. The hotel is quite big and my room was a distance from reception which might not suit older clients. The hotel is very convenient for Liffey Valley shopping and great value for the quality of room and service provided.

Have used The Clarion, Liffey Valley as a base in Dublin on a number of occasions in the past. The rates available per room are generally in the 60 - 70 Euro per room per night range which is good value for money. You get access to the gym or pool for free. Breakfast is excellent. Haven't done an evening meal in the restaurant but the bar food is nice. Staff in the hotel are friendly and most importantly the rooms are clean and comfortable. Though on the outskirts of the city, the hotel is located close to the M50 and N4 which gets you around and into Dublin quickly. Liffey valley shopping centre is right next door. They recently have opened a new playground but I'm at a lost as to why they close it at 6pm.

The need for a cot was communicated via Roomex and an email to the hotel. The cot in the room made it tight enough. There were many families around so this could have been better for us(bigger room) No teletext(not even terrestrial RTE(Aertel) People like to keep up with sport/current affairs whie away and this facility should be there without having to pay for ot.

When we arrived there was two people on reception checking guests in (11.30pm Approx) The lady left and we wre being checked in by a man who had not a clue what he was doing. he kept leaving us and asking the lady different questions. I found this really unprofessional especially at the time it was... eventually after asking the lady so many questions she herself came to the desk to assist him with the check in. In the morning we went down for breakfast and it was very busy. we were shown to our table but when we left our jackets on the chairs and went to get some food some travellers came in and took our seats so we had to gather our belongings and find another table which was obviously hard find with the amount of people. we had to go to a table that hadnt been cleared and wait for some cups etc.. Stayed for two nights in the middle of December 2011. Hotel seemed busy, possibly with Christmas parties. Arrived in the early hours of Saturday morning, efficient check in. Was given a lower-ground level room. Wondered if that's where they put folks that booked through an outside agent. At least, it was quiet in that area and the room was very good. No complaints generally, except for parking at the front of the hotel. It was difficult to find a spot. There seemed to be a multi-storey carpark as well, but I was driving a high van so this was not an option. Essentially, parking may have only been an issue for me and my van :-) Staff were very friendly. Meals were good. The breakfast was standard fare, but I've no complaints. I had an evening meal on Saturday evening and it was very good. A reasonably good choice was to had from the set menu. I went with duck to start, lamb shank as a main, and Xmas chocolate log for dessert.

My elderly mother and I had a room each on November 9th, 2011. We ordered breakfast to our rooms for 9.15-9.30. At 8.30, there was a lot of LOUD talking and laughing in the corridor and our doors were wrapped on and 'Housekeeping' was shouted at us. At 9.00 our breakfasts were delivered - 10mins early. This lady quietly apologised for being early. While our stay was comfortable and the rooms were agreeable, it was a pity that the room service was so poor. I would have thought that staff would make sure that customers should be afforded a quiet and peaceful stay. (they were not speaking English). Our room numbers were 242 and 244 on ground floor.

Before arriving at the hotel I requested early check in as we were going to a concert but was informed it may not be possible due to how busy the hotel was, which was fair enough. When I arrived the receptionist looked baffled by the idea that I had being told that I had requested early check in and informed me no note of such a request had being made, I had done this directly with the hotel. We had to wait for 2 hours to get our rooms. The only reason we got rooms after the 2 hours was I insisted that we had to get some sort of room to change. In the end the receptionist put us in family rooms I would imagine more so to get rid of us rather than any other reason. One of the check in staff also informed us that they were having problems with leaks and bathrooms on one of the floors. On entering our room the smell of sewage was overpowering but we put it down to the troubles. We left the room once ready and didn't return until late that night, the smell in the room was worse we couldn't use the bathroom and had to ensure the door was closed. It was too late to do anything about so I mentioned it on check out but as the room was prepaid the hotel could do nothing for us besides waive the €4 parking charge ... I won't be returning, I am very disappointed with my stay.

We enjoyed our stay at The Clarion. It is a superb hotel, excellently located to Liffey Valley shopping centre, which means it is very handy to come back to when you need to drop off all those shopping bags!! Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Clarion Liffey Valley and staff were very helpful. We couldn't fault breakfast and the room was lovely but... it was very hot and very noisy (even when window was closed) as it was located close to motorway. In fairness, there was a fan provided so we kept that on all night, but that also contributed to the noise factor. We paid €33 each for one night's B&B in a twin room, so we didn't do so badly and the above issues wouldn't stop us from returning to the hotel again, but we will be more clued in about what to look out for when checking-in to this - and other hotels - in the future.

I have given your hotel this rating because when we went to check in the hotel was double booked and upon attending the wedding and speaking to friends I discovered that this was a common accurance on this day . After paying for a triple room we were given a double with 2 single beds and had to settle for this and a fold out bed being squashed in to the already tiny room . When we went for breakfast in the morning we had to que up out in to the hotels reception area for over 45mins to get in to the dining area and then again for 5 to 10 mins to get a table overall I felt this was a total joke .

Below average not because of the room, as it was fine though quite cold, not because of the staff as they were pleasant....but the fire alarm did go off from before 6am until 8 am on the Friday night, which fairly messed up my day, as I was on a course. Sat night was highlighted by the late bar out front...pity they didn't think to put a single occupant in a room away from the fun. All in, only ok, wouldn't be raving about it.

The staff were very friendly and helpful also, as we had our little boy with us and it was nice to be able to bring him for dinner and not have to worry about a time restriction. The food in the restaurant was very good too and there was lovely selection on the childrens menu too.

Overall, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the food I bought in Kudos bar was really delicious and reasonably priced and the lesiure facilities were excellent. On the downswing, the noise from my motorway facing room was very difficult to achieve much sleep by and it was only when I arrived onsite that I found out that I had to pay for parking (I thought it was included). It's in a great location for city commuting though and the price was quite good compared to other hotels nearby for what you get.

Being from the West, myself and my sisters find The Clarion an ideal place to stay when in Dublin. We stay here 5 or 6 times a year since it opened. We had a lovely room with three single beds in and was quite large. The room as usual was spotless . We had room service which was very tasty and a good sized portion and very reasonable. As this hotel is close to the city and a quick trip on the bus to the airport [the bus stops at the hotel]I would recommend it to anyone going for business or leisure.

Had a great break in the Clarion Liffey Valley. Friendly, efficient check-in. Room clean and bright and comfortable beds. Particularly liked that it was quiet and a good temperature at night. Best of all there was a fridge in the room in which to store water, milk etc. Breakfast wasn't included in our rate but at €10 per adult and €5 per child we paid for it and it was good value, the choice and quality was very good. We were there during Easter holidays and the kids loved the pool when they had giant inflatables during the afternoon. There was an unsupervised games room and an unsupervised kids movie in the evening but my kids were too young for this. Found the hotel very child-friendly which was very important for me. This was about the 4th time we have stayed here and I would definitely recommend it for families. Great location beside Liffey Valley shopping centre and near the m50, giving good access to all of Dublin by car. About a 5 minute walk to public bus stop but I would be a bit wary of this if I was on my own after dark. Only criticism I can think of is that the bar-food menu in the evening is all Thai food and I would prefer more choice, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby and a take-away pizza menu is given in each room too. Hoping to go back with the kids in the summer.

As expected the hotel was clean and friendly. However it was not without some faults. At registration I asked the receptionist not to put me into a room adjoining another. This was because it of the noise that comes through when the television is on in an adjoining room. Guess what? When I arrived at my room I found that it was an adjoining room. Luckily there was no problem in changing rooms. However this was the third time this happened to me. Toiletries in the bathroom are basic and sparse. For example no bars of soap. Just liquid soap at the washbasin and liquid soap/shampoo over the bath. Not easy to work up a shaving lather using liquid soap. The electric kettle in the room showed very definite signs of wear and tear. Breakfast is expensive and not very appetising. Food is cooked earlier on and left in warming trays. This leaves gives a leathery quality to the rashers. Strangely the plates for the breakfast were not even lukewarm. As usual the table was not set fully: the usual teaspoons missing.

I booked a room for three. the smell of the room when we arrived was desperate. The smell seemed to be coming from the plug hole in the shower. It was a room "suitable" for a disable person as it was a walk in shower. The room number was 465. The toiled was falling off the wall. You were afraid to sit on it incase it would fall on the floor. The room was freezing we rang to reception to tell them that said they would send some one up. An half hour later we got a call from reception to say they had located a heater if we wanted it. We told them not to bother. Also there was only 2 bathtowels and 2 mugs to make coffee. We had booked and paid for a room for three. It was not a very nice stay we told the receptionist when we were checking out, we might as well have complained to the cat on the street for all the attention she gave us.

stayed for one night because of a social event nearby. so didn't really use all the hotel's facilities. checkin was fine; the room was a good size - double and single beds - and had all you'd expect. the hotel was fine, though has the strangest arrangement for residents' bar ever. so don't expect a relaxing late pint in the bar, it'll be a can in the foyer! when checking out, found they had a charge for 'corkage' on the room which didn't apply. the girl checking us out was great and sorted it out, though without solid explanation. if you find yourself in 'quarryvale', and you need a hotel, you'll be happy enough with this place.

I was not impressed with this hotel. First of al the staff where not very friendly at check in. we had alot of baggage and where not offered any help in bringing them upstairs. We had booked two rooms. I had requested a double in both but instead we got two single beds pushed together which was so annoying and uncomfortable when i went to complain on checking out I was told that was common practice. What annoyed me was I had emailed them specifically asking for a proper double bed but they didnt seem to care. The hotel was very busy as there was a wedding. Our room was directly opposite the function room so we were kept up half the night with the music. When we finally got to sleep about 2am, we were woken up with screaming and shouting outside our door with all the wedding party as they were really drunk and disordely. We had to ring security to come up. They did come up and try and calm them down for a while but the talking continued into the night and we were unable to get back to sleep. It was terrible. We complained on check out and the member of staff wasnt one bit sympathetic to us. I wouldnt stay here again and don't recommend it to anyone!

We spent four nights in your hotel. I have to addmit that at first when we saw the hotel we were afraid that it might be noisy. We had 2 years' old granddaughter with as so you can understand our fear. An exceptionally nice receptionist (I'm sorry I do not remember her name)on my request for a quieter part of the hotel put us in the part of the hotel with suits. It was absolutely grand. Very clean, comfortable and suitable for our needs. We needn't to worry about our breakfasts and suppers. It took us only fifteen minutes to get to the city centre so our visitors from Poland were fully satisfied. To conclude, all I can say is that should we come again to Dublin we will stay again in Clarion Liffey Valley Hotel. We will also recommend it to our friends.

We really enjoyed our stay. We were in Dublin for a hen weekend and conciously booked somewhere a little way out of town to get "more for our money". As 4 female friends, we emailed ahead to request 4 single beds. Delivery of this would have increased our rating to Superb. The bar prices were no more expensive than we found we were paying in the town centre. The pool & spa facilities were excellant and the staff at the pool were particularly helpful and welcoming. The concierge and night manager were both excellant but I would comment that on the 3 occassions that we tried to reach the reception desk by phone (eg: to request an extra set of towels etc - our room was only furnished for 3 when we checked in)there was never any answer - the phone just rang and rang. Overall we had a very good experience and would recommend the chain to others.

The Clarion Hotel in Liffey Valley was excellant. We arrived on Friday evening and were assigned an apartment to the side of the hotel. We did not expect this and it was a lovely treat. We had a huge bedroom, sitting room, fully equiped kitchen and bathroom all to ourselves at a very reasonable rate! The only "-" i could say would be their was no TV in the sitting room just the bedroom so it kinda made the sitting room area pointless! The carpark underground was a little annoying, you had to get your tickets stamped at reception, which we wernt told and had to go back to reception where they was usually a que and when you got back to the barrier after geting your ticket stamped it still didnt work!! they need to get a sign to explain the whole carparking! Other than that it was a great hotel in a great location, near the shops and a great restaurant next to the hotel called ARC!

Although the hotel is a 20 to 25 minute bus ride away from the centre of Dublin the quality more than makes up for the distance. We stayed at Clarion Hotel Liffey Valley for 1 night only. It was all we expected & more for the price. Staff were friendly, service was excellent, bedrooms were very comfortable & clean. The leisure centre is first class. If I could find fault it would be that the corridors look very drab, they need a bit of decorating etc. All in all we will be back, excellent location for shopping & we got a taxi to city centre for a very reasonable cost.

Hotel is very easy to get to when traveling from the west of ireland and is located beside an excellant shopping centre which made the trip so handy! During our trip we attended an concert in the RDS and a taxi back to the hotel was reasonable at €25. Rooms were very warm and though the hotel had provided fans in every room we still had to leave the window open all night. Overall I found the staff very helpful. I would definately stay there again.

WE WERE VERY HAPPY WITH THE HOTEL. THE ROOMS ARE OF A VERY GOOD STANDARD AS IS THE HOUSEKEEPING IN THE HOTEL AND THE STAFF WERE PLEASANT. THE HOTEL WAS FURTHER OUT OF DUBLIN THAN WE REALISED, SO A LOT OF OUR TIME AND BUDGET WENT ON TAXI,S AND LONG BUS JOURNEYS INTO CITY CENTRE. UNFORTUNATLEY THE HOTEL WAS VERY NOISY WHEN WE STAYED WITH PEOPLE SHOUTING AND RUNNING THE CORRIDORS UNTIL ALMOST BREAKFAST.

I love the Clarion. It has all the comforts I want when I am away from home - an iron and ironing board, good size mugs for coffee, wine glasses so I can bring my own bottle of wine. I love the new toiletries and there is a decent hairdrier with a nice long lead.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in the Clarian. It was very reasonable in price. (70 euro without breakfast). My friend paid 89 euro on the Clarian website ( without breakfast) We had booked a double room but by coincidence on arrival we were given a family room. The room was very spacious and had all amenities including a proper iron and ironing board. I will certainly be putting 'roomex.com' into my favourites.

Stayed in the Clarion Liffey valley Dublin on Saturday 22nd June. Weather was awful dark sky wind and rain, we soon forgot about that when we arrived in the Clarion. Reception was just buzzing they had three very capable young ladies on duty smiles all round. We were celebrating my wife's birthday with dinner B+B in the Clarion and shopping and cinema {sex in the city]in the Liffey Valley Centre. I with a cheeky smile asked for a nice room the young lady replied with a ckeekier grin that all their rooms were very nice and i must say ours was great the bed was massive and so comfortable the decor was realy nice and spotlessy clean. We had trouble managing the lights but a duty manager arrived and sorted it very quickly my own fault of course. We had dinner in the bar service was excellent there was a nice busy athmosphere, food was gorgeous and reasonably priced. After a hearty Breky next morning we tried out the leisure centre staff were great again greeted with a smile Chris Robinson gave me a tour i retired to the jacuzi, steam room and lovely pool came out fully relaxed and extremely satisfied with our visit to the clarion. I wont be waiting for another birthday to return.

This was my first stay in Dublin, and it has inspired me to visit it again. I had booked a week-end stay to meet up with some friends from student days, and this was an ideal place to meet. The suite I had been allocated was spacious, and extremely comfortable and clean. I came away feeling really well and relaxed. There were many facilities (e.g. fitness) available in the hotel that I had no time to use during this visit, but could use more during longer stays. The staff were all very welcoming, helpful and professional at all times. When using public transport getting to the city, we met some of the hotel staff and they were equally kind and helpful even when not on duty!

It is a lovely hotel the rooms are done up lovely, love the decor and it is very clean. The Staff are very helpful and kind. The only thing I found wrong was that we couldn't get any food when we came back from the concert. Not even a pack of crisps. My suggestion would be to get a vending machine or something like that for after hours especially for concert goers. All that fresh air makes you hungry. But otherwise I would recommend this hotel. It is really lovely.

This hotel is located in a disadvantaged area of Dublin, this is evident as the view from the breakfast room is over looking a haulting site. The lack of English speaking staff is frustrating. The hotel has not got air conditioning this results in the building over heating and lacking ventilation. The best time to get breakfast is before 9am as it is cold after this time. The facilities are satisfactory however i would not recommend this hotel.

Just came back from a two-night stay in this great hotel. My husband and I were having a mini-break before the birth of our new baby. The hotel receptionists were friendly, and had designated us a lovely quiet room with a double bed. However when they saw that i was very heavily pregnant they upgraded us to a triple room which meant i got the lovely double bed to myself and ,y husband had a seperate bed (very good!) The room was extremely clean, and was cleaned the next day as well. The beds were large and comfy with loads of pillows. Room service was fantastic, my order arrived within fifteen mnutes, piping hot and plentiful. The liffey valey shopping center has a bus stop where buses pickup and drop off to go straight to dublin city center. Would definately recommend this hotel to anyone for a visit to Dublin - the only negative is the price of the breafasts, but the ARC restaurant opposite does a mini fryup for €6.95 and a huge maxi-fryup for €10.95 - loads of food for good prices.

When we arrived at the hotel the check-in desk gave us the wrong room swipes, so that I had to walk back down to reception to get the correct ones. Then there was no soap in the bathroom & we had to ask a cleaner in the next room for some. Also, that night I put the 'Do Not Disturb' notice on the door & despite this, the cleaner knocked on the door wanting to clean the room the next morning. I told here that we were not ready & 20 minutes later she knocked again. Seeing as there was 1hour 30mins left to check out time, I felt a bit harassed into rushing to leave. Otherwise, the room was clean & comfortable.

My family (2 adults and 2 children) stayed for 1 night in a four bed room which was very nice, clean and had good facilities. The staff on reception were very friendly and efficient and the check-in took just a couple of minutes. On arrival at our room we requested a baby cot which arrived within 5 minutes. We had a meal in the bar downstairs which was lovely - thai food - very tasty.Bar staff were very attentive. The only problem we had was with the phone in the hotel room which we could not get an outside line on despite numerous attempts with help from the hotel receptionist. Eventually, as it would not work the receptionist came up to our room and gave us the use of her own personal mobile phone which was beyond the service I wold expect. This seemed typical of the attitude of the staff in the hotel - nothing was too much trouble. Thank you!

Stayed with my daughter (12years) for 3 nights, purpose of the trip was leisure and shopping. We arrived late (23.30), and the check-in was very efficient, but a bit unpersonal. Large hotel, very long and dull corridors, but the room was very delicate and fresh with lovely soaps and stuff in the bathroom. The room was nicely cleaned every day. We enjoyed the pool, but wished that the swimming periods for older children were extended. Liked the Kudos bar, disliked the breakfast; little to choose from and overprized. We got lovely Irish breakfast for under half the prize at the bar across the street. The hotel is a short walk from a very good shopping center, with cinemas and cafees, which gave us plenty of things to do near the hotel. Easy access to Dublin centre using the nearby local bus. On the plus side: nice rooms, good pool, hotel good situated for our purpose. Friendly and helpful "info/touristdesk". Could be better: Breakfast and swimming periods for children. I e-mailed in advance to ask if we could get a quiet room away from the motorway, and how to get to the hotel from the airport. The answer confirmed the quiet room, and recommended a taxi to the hotel.- We got a room facing the motorway, and found out after arriving that an airport bus runs close by.

I have stayed at this hotel many times and have always been satisfied. However, the standard seems to have slipped somewhat. My minibar had nothing in it. There was no stationary in the room so I have to go to the lobby to write a letter. The cleanliness of the hotel was less than usual. (grubby plates at breakfast, table not cleaned from previous customer, yet we were still seated and the table didn't get cleaned) I do hope it was only a temperory slip-up but I have stayed there in June, August, September, October, November and now December and this was the first less than average experience
