The bedrooms are all ensuite with full facilities and an overall emphasis on comfort. The furnishings are modern and the rooms are medium in size and in good condition. The hotel restaurant is very attractive and is bright and airy. Local specialities are popular along with traditional International dishes. This is a modern, low rise building with various annexes. The hotel lobby is medium in size and is decorated in pine panelling and turf fireplaces. It is a very welcoming room and gives a good first impression of the hotel. This is a very smart, modern hotel, ideal for any market who prefer the modern feel to the traditional. The hotel is well run and the staff have a deserved reputation for their friendly and professional approach. (RT10/07)

This award wining hotel is situated just 16 miles from Galway at the gateway to the Connemara. The hotel is set in attractive grounds.
This hotel is quite tired and in need of renovation and updating. OK for coach tours which appear to be a major part of its clientele. As a base for Connemara, it is ok, but next time I would choose Clifden as a better location.
