was in manchester that night for a football match. choose days hotel as it was much cheaper than every where else on that night. although it was supposed to be close to piccadilly station it took us 45 minutes to find the place.. staff were very friendly and we were able to check in at 9.15 am .. room was very small although clean.. i wouldnt stay here again but for the one night it was fine
Hotel seemed ok at first. Good location and friendly reception. Decor a bit functional; room a bit small but adequate. I ate dinner in the restaurant and the food was a little pricey but tasty enough. Breakfast the next morning was ok. The real drawback with this hotel and one is that it is part of a complex that is mostly given over to student halls of residence. At 2.30 a.m. I was woken by loud music, laughter and shouting from the room next door. I rang reception and was told that this was students and if I wanted to sleep maybe could move to a different room. At 3.00a.m. the receptionist moved me to a room at the front of the hotel and eventually I got back to sleep. At reception next morning, complaining about the disturbance didn't really elicit anything apart from an apology and an admission that some guests had been allocated rooms away from the students quarters in anticipation of end of exam celebrations but for some reason, I was given a room directly next door to the students. Would definitely not stay here again.
