This was an unpleasant experience. We arrived to be told there was no record of our booking despite me having the documentation to prove that a room was indeed booked. The owner then insisted we pay again and then resolve the matter with Roomex when we got home, we eventually agreed to this only to be told a few minutes later that our booking had been located and without any apology we were given our additional money back and shown to our room. The remainder of the stay was fine but this initial experience soured the overall experience. How difficult would it be to keep a record of bookings for a small guest house? How easy it would have been to offer an apology when the owner was so obviously in the wrong? How off putting for tourists to experience this. I have booked with roomex many times- this guest house in not worthy of your endorsement.
