A stunning Victorian building, it is one of Glasgow's oldest and original hotels.
A very grand lobby, both in size and design. The lobby has both access to the train station and the street.

You can't go past this hotel for location.
You literally walk through an entrance from the station into the hotel foyer.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
The hotel is huge and has obviously had a lot of money spent on it. The rooms were modern and comfortable and very clean. Even the smaller rooms had a separate area with a wardrobe and place to put your case, which meant you could get luggage right out of the way.
Lovely bathrooms that were spacious, modern and bright.
We didn't eat here, but there were certainly plenty of options within the hotel if you wanted to. You walk out the front of the hotel and can take your pick from the many cafes and restaurants right on the doorstep.
I would happily recommend the Grand Central Hotel as a modern, comfy place to stay in an exceptional location.
