Set in the middle of the 2008 Capital of Culture city, right opposite Liverpool Lime Street Station, the Holiday Inn city Centre couldn't have a more prominent city centre location.
Each of the 139 bedrooms at the hotel have the benefit of Standard Queen size bed, with twin rooms having two Queen sized beds, en-suite bathrooms complete with bath and power-shower and are fully air-conditioned. Further facilities include LCD TV, Satellite TV, Pay per View Movies, Tea and Coffee Hospitality Tray, Direct Dial Telephones/Internet access with modem points and Iron and Ironing Boards. All rooms are of a good size, comfortable and contemporary.
The Signals Brasserie and Bar is located on the 2nd floor of the hotel and allows guest to enjoy the spectacular view of Lime Street with it's impressive display of Grade I listed buildings such as St Georges Hall and Walker Art Gallery. The Brasserie itself serves a variety of international dishes and offers an extensive wine list.
This is a modern in design high storey building, built in 1972.
The lobby is large and the staff friendly and attentive to your needs.
This is a popular and friendly choice that is a great example of a mid market hotel that delivers above guest expectations both in product and service. Since being fully refurbished in 2000, the hotel continues to win awards based around it's staff and service. Combined with the in house fitness room, both leisure and business visitors have everything they need for a comfortable stay. Recommended. (GW 09/2009)

16 kms to the nearest airport (liverpool intl)
1 minute walk to the nearest metro station (lime street station)
Our stay was just about satisfactory. We experienced a few problems during our stay. The carpet in our bedroom was very uneven & lumpy, as though it was laid on a very rough concrete floor. Only one of the two lifts were working during our stay which led to delays in waiting for a lift to take us to & from the 9th floor. We were B & B guests & while the food was very good in the mornings, on one morning we had to wait for at least 10 mins before many of the cooked breakfast items were available from the buffet. Our last whinge was that the receptionist gave us completely wrong directions to the bus stop for a bus to take us to the airport. He sent us up behind Lime St station when in fact the bus stop was just around the corner from the hotel. On the plus side the staff were very polite & courteous, food was good & the hotel is very conveniently located although the rooms are not the most spaceous. We will probably stay elsewhere on our next visit to Liverpool as we were somewhat disappointed in our stay at the Holiday Inn.

Very good hotel that is centrally located and easily accessed by transport links. Rooms are exactly what is needed after a long day sightseeing. Comfortable beds , hot showers and staff who answer all that is asked of them.
A very positive experience .
It was the fastest check in we had ever in a hotel. Staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty . Couldn't resist taking a croissant away for later that day !!! Would defiantly recommend this hotel

when we arrived we were told that they had no non smoking rooms available even though we booked a non smoking room.this was only drawback to good weekend as we could not hang around room with the stench of cig smoke.we only were staying for 2 nights so we said we would put up with it.
