Great location right beside the luas. All staff were friendly and helpful. Room was modern, clean and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant, food was nice, was disappointed with the mojito though, was fairly poor! All in all a lovely stay and would definitely go back!

The Gibson is a beautiful hotel and brilliant for attending a concert at the 3 Arena. The staff were excellent and friendly and the food and service first class in the restaurant. Unfortunately we had to leave a night early due to son injuring himself at home, we were looking forward to a second night. We will definitely return in the near future.

I was disappointed with my stay. I stayed last year in the Gibson, we had a great stay and I recommended the hotel to many friends and family. This stay however did not live up to the experience we had last year. We had booked a superior room, when we got to the room we found that the duvet cover was ripped and the curtains were stained. We decided to see if we could get an upgrade as we had stayed in the executive suite last year. When my partner when back to reception he stood in the queue and when he finally got to the desk and asked about an upgrade he was told to "go sit down over there, other people are waiting to check in". My partner went to another desk and got the upgrade. The executive suites are beautiful rooms but again there was a ripped duvet and stains on the carpet. Later that night we ordered some drinks and had them delivered to the room, when they got there we asked to put them on the room, this was refused and we were told to ring reception and pay in the next 10 mins. I completely understand being asked to pay the charge, it was as if we were going to skip on a €10 charge after paying a significant amount for the room. The following morning we went downstairs for breakfast, we waited to be seated and for some reason were seated at a dirty table despite the fact that there were several clean tables around us, we moved to a clean table ourselves. The girl that seated us never returned to offer us tea or coffee, my partner got this himself. The breakfast itself was a little disappointing (flies around the food) considering that people raved about the breakfast online. We decided not to have breakfast on the second morning. On check out we not even asked how our stay was, we imagined this was a standard question to ask on check out. I feel very disappointed in our stay on this occasion, the room was very expensive for two nights. I was however happy to pay this amount for the room as we had such a fantastic stay last year. The hotel in general was not up to the same standard in many ways and I don't think we will be back to stay despite the convenient location of the hotel.

Staff very efficient and friendly. Very much customer orientated on a very busy weekend for them. The only fault I could find was the bar near the reception had for a long period only one person serving, with a long queue. This was on an evening where there was a show on in the O3.
