This is a lovely hotel and was very well located for my business trip to Dublin. Rooms are first class, reception service was very professional and friendly. My wife and I ate in the bar/restaurant and the food was delicious and good value. Not a great area perhaps to stroll about after dark but an easy taxi ride into the centre would do the trick. I walked to the Custom House the next day in 20 minutes. Price was this occasion was exceptional, thank you Roomex. We will certainly return.
Lovely Staff, rooms are clean and tidy with a very modern feel to them. There is thought gone into every aspect of the hotel, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The bed was comfortable, the room was well kept. I found only one small flaw, the breakfast was served on a buffet and probably not as piping hot as it should have been, otherwise this hotel was flawless. The parking is expensive but that's largely down to the area of the city not the hotel. 9/10
Great location right beside the luas. All staff were friendly and helpful. Room was modern, clean and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant, food was nice, was disappointed with the mojito though, was fairly poor! All in all a lovely stay and would definitely go back!
A fabulous hotel with very attentive staff - a real treat to stay in the Gibson
The Gibson is a beautiful hotel and brilliant for attending a concert at the 3 Arena. The staff were excellent and friendly and the food and service first class in the restaurant. Unfortunately we had to leave a night early due to son injuring himself at home, we were looking forward to a second night. We will definitely return in the near future.
Very conveniently located for attending concerts/events at 3Arena. Nice atmosphere in the bar/restaurant. Food was good - very large portions. Rooms very clean and modern. Comfortable bed, safe in room, flat screen TV , tea and coffee facilities and bottled water provided.
I was disappointed with my stay. I stayed last year in the Gibson, we had a great stay and I recommended the hotel to many friends and family. This stay however did not live up to the experience we had last year. We had booked a superior room, when we got to the room we found that the duvet cover was ripped and the curtains were stained. We decided to see if we could get an upgrade as we had stayed in the executive suite last year. When my partner when back to reception he stood in the queue and when he finally got to the desk and asked about an upgrade he was told to "go sit down over there, other people are waiting to check in". My partner went to another desk and got the upgrade. The executive suites are beautiful rooms but again there was a ripped duvet and stains on the carpet. Later that night we ordered some drinks and had them delivered to the room, when they got there we asked to put them on the room, this was refused and we were told to ring reception and pay in the next 10 mins. I completely understand being asked to pay the charge, it was as if we were going to skip on a €10 charge after paying a significant amount for the room. The following morning we went downstairs for breakfast, we waited to be seated and for some reason were seated at a dirty table despite the fact that there were several clean tables around us, we moved to a clean table ourselves. The girl that seated us never returned to offer us tea or coffee, my partner got this himself. The breakfast itself was a little disappointing (flies around the food) considering that people raved about the breakfast online. We decided not to have breakfast on the second morning. On check out we not even asked how our stay was, we imagined this was a standard question to ask on check out. I feel very disappointed in our stay on this occasion, the room was very expensive for two nights. I was however happy to pay this amount for the room as we had such a fantastic stay last year. The hotel in general was not up to the same standard in many ways and I don't think we will be back to stay despite the convenient location of the hotel.
Staff very efficient and friendly. Very much customer orientated on a very busy weekend for them. The only fault I could find was the bar near the reception had for a long period only one person serving, with a long queue. This was on an evening where there was a show on in the O3.
This hotel is luxury at its finest. It is easily accessible by car or there is a luas stop directly outside the hotel so you don't have to carry your bags too far,There is parking available at the back of the hotel but this is privately owned so you will have to pay 14 euro per night which is paid at reception of the hotel. The rooms are huge and there is everything that you need at hand. There was also a great choice at the buffet style breakfast in the morning with something to suit all tastes. The staff were lovely and were very obliging whenever you needed anything. Overall this is a fab hotel to stay in with the big plus that is away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre but only 10 minutes away using the luas which is a great option to have for travelling around.
There was a bad smell in the room of Deep Heat. Could not get a drink in the bar on Sunday night, as there was only 1 bar man trying to serve up to 20 people.
A dream location for events in 3 Arena and shopping. Service exceptional.
The hotel is super modern, bright vibrant colours, rooms are beautiful, the staff were magnificent and the sweet jars were a great touch as was the free fruit throughout the hotel. Location for a concert nearby is second to none. Hand on my heart we will definitely be back. Thank you for your attention to detail, nothing was a hassle and everything was possible.
Had a fantastic stay in this hotel. Was perfect for overlooking the 3 arena where we were going to a concert that evening. The food was great and the cocktails excellent. Really liked the little touches they added like providing flowers to bring to your room and bottles of water left out in the room. The staff were lovely too and not overbearing. Really liked the whole vibe of the hotel and we'll definitely be back again if we have an occasion to be. The DJ in the evening was great too.
Booked the Gibson based on a recommendation from a friend and was very pleased with the hotel. Liked the idea of the Luas stop being right in front of the hotel and being able to leave the car in the car park located underneath the hotel. Stayed on Monday 19/12 so hotel was quite quiet which I liked. Room was excellent and had an excellent breakfast the next morning.
Lovely hotel, modern, clean, very friendly staff, breakfast was excellent. 1 minor complaint was the heat in the room as the windows don't open properly.
It was nice, but to expensive for 1 night.
Really enjoyed our stay. Everything excellent!
Fantastic hotel, from staff rooms to location all superb.
A very contemporary hotel, striking to the eye when you first approach and enter. Excellent links into city centre via the Luas tram. Our room was a great size, had a balcony to use for an outdoor chill out with a cuppa and extremely comfortable. All staff were very helpful, but at some point they had missed our prearranged breakfast booking off the restaurant list which did cause some issues. Would recommend and use again myself.
Two trips to hotel inside one week and a fabulous time had on each occasion. Customer service was exceptions from every aspect imaginable. Food & drinks of a high standard with a special cocktail of the night representing the event on in the 3 arena a must try. The hotel was buzzing with concert goers but the bedrooms quiet & relaxing to the point you forgot their were people in the next room. A must stay if attending an event in the 3arena,
The Gibson is becoming one of my favourite hotels to stay in Dublin. Great location - a quick trip on the Luas from town and you are at your hotel! Rooms are modern, spacious and very comfortable. Great food in the bar. Friendly staff. Great hotel. Would recommend!
Lovely to return to this very chic Dublin Hotel which really lives up to its 4 stars. While not very close walking distance to the city, the luas is very convenient and its a lovely walk along the keys. I would recommend this hotel to all travellers, especially when there is a good room rate.
Really enjoyed our stay in the Gibson Hotel - Rooms are spacious and staff really nice and helpful. Got to use the gym - well equipped and the relaxation area which has a fab steam room and sauna and outdoor tubs, all free to use and really added to the stay. Was at a concert in the 3Arena so was great to come out of concert and just stroll across the road to hotel.
Very clean, friendly staff, excellent location.
I can't always afford to stay in the Gibson but the experience never disappoints. Consistently chirpy and professional service from everyone of the staff I have contact with says a lot about the hotel. The rooms are just enjoyable. Clear, very comfortable and quiet. Nuff said. Treat yourself.
Had a fantastic stay in the Gibson, great space, great architecture – amazing rooms. Altogether a very good experience. I have stayed in the Gibson before and will be staying there again in the future. Would recommend this hotel to anybody, car park so convenient – I had a great time.
Found the hotel to be excellent regarding standards and location. We dined in the restaurant the food was excellent but a little put off by buffet style service.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Gibson Hotel. Top class hotel with easy accessibility to both the 3 Arena and Bord Gais Energy Theatre. The fact that the Luas stops right outside the door is a major plus. Staff very friendly and room first rate.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We were there for a wedding. The reception hall was designed and set up beautifully, everything finished off to the highest quality. Our room was about 3 minutes away, making it ideal to go back to for a bit of peace. You couldn't fault the room in any way, being clean and tidy with the usual comforts, the way a 4 star hotel room should be. Staff very friendly, all in all, a very relaxing and enjoyable stay!
Everything was so convenient for our stay following a concert at the 3 Arena. Staff were very helpful and courteous, we enjoyed our night at your hotel.
The Gibson is a nice looking hotel and well situated in Dublin. The rooms were spacious and modern. The only issue we would have is the breakfast area was a bit untidy. Not a big thing but for a modern hotel worktops and floor areas should be kept clean. Otherwise a lovely stay.
I booked a room for two adults and one child (aged 9). The booking confirmation confirmed that there would be a double bed in the room. When we arrived there was no fold away bed in the room for the child and when we asked reception they said the child would normally share the double. He's too old (and big) to do this so we were charged €15 to put a fold away in the room. Ok so not a large sum of money but this should be noted when booking, after all they do ask for the childs age when you book. Other than that everything was good. Would return again.
Great, modern hotel. Great location luas right outside door, great location for concerts on in the 3 Arena. Very warm and inviting place.
Very nice hotel with really friendly and welcoming staff. Very comfortable room and good food in the bar. I will be back.
Lovely hotel but parking way too expensive.
Would highly recommend the Gibson. Rooms are very spacious, modern and super comfortable. Kevin checked us in - very welcoming and efficient. Location is great - Luas just outside the door. Walkway up along the river is even better!
Clean & very slick hotel. Staff are wonderful. We were staying there for a concert in the O2 and you couldn't ask for better! Really enjoyed it.
I was at a concert in the O2 and found this hotel to be so convenient. Staff were friendly and efficient. Rooms were stylish and clean. Bar was buzzing after the concert. Great views of the city. I have already recommended this hotel to family and friends and will use this hotel again.
Lovely receptionist - Kim - very helpful. Comfortable hotel and very convenient for Dublin Port.
We stayed at the Gibson Hotel on the 8th March, it was only for the one night, but from the minute we landed the staff were very friendly, unfortunately when we arrived our room was not ready, but they checked us in & took our bags so we could go and watch the Ireland v Italy rugby game, even after we came back later that night, we just went straight to the check in desk, said we had checked in and had our bags back & straight to our room, which they apologised for not being ready when we first arrived. The buffet breakfast was great, great selection of food on offer, i would definately recommend this hotel to anyone and if you are going to a concert in the point inn, its just across from the hotel.
Very comfy beds, beautiful rooms and excellent location for the O2
Amazing room! Staff were very friendly! And amazing location! Will def be staying there again!
Food disappointing, but the room was lovely. Would stay again, but on a room-only basis.
Slow check-in - a queue with just three receptionists. Presently if you check in at 4.00pm and if leaving the car park before 4.00pm the following day (after checkout at 12 noon) the rate is €14 for the 24 hours. From January 1, 2014 - car parking for hotel residents is being restricted i.e.if you arrive in the car park at 4.00pm or later and check-in - €14 will only cover you until noon on the following day. So if you check out the following day at 12 noon and leave the car park at 12.30 - additional charges will now apply.
it was a excellant hotel room was great fine and big
We Enjoyed our stay at the Gibson, rooms were clean and good size, staff were friendly, will hopefully be back to stay soon again.
Excellent Hotel.Rooms very spacious. Staff very friendly and helpful. The only fault was that there was a very strong smell of cigar smoke in the room and I found it very hard to sleep. Room 555. Would stay again.
Hotel is fab ! Very modern hotel. Rooms & beds very comfortable. Highly recommend the Gibson Staff friendly. Only down fall is bar food isn't good ! But I would stay in gibson again ! Great location easy access to the luas !
Had a fabulous time
excellent hotel and very friendly and professional stall food was excellent and rooms very clean, would be hard to find fault with my stay, will return
The hotel is in very convenient location with wonderful views of Dublin. The room standard was excellent. Only negative is the constant buzz of air conditioning throughout the hotel including the bedrooms.
We really enjoyed our stay, from the moment we arrived the staff were so lovely and were glad to help us in anyway they could. We were going to a show in the 02 and we were running late for it but needed something to eat before the show so the bar staff hurried our order so we would make the show on time we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and it is just brilliant when you are attending a show in the 02.
Love this hotel! Staff are so friendly and helpful. Was going to an event in the O2 so the location was perfect.
Excellent hotel and the best hotel in Dublin in my opinion. In a nice, quiet location but still close to the city centre. The staff are friendly, the rooms are clean, add the beautiful modern decor and the delicious breakfast and all in all you have a fantastic hotel.
Stayed at the Gibson while attending a conference. Hotel service was overall swift, efficient and friendly and the room was clean, well designed and all the expected items such as iron, hairdryer, kettle, etc were provided. Lunch was well organised for a l00+. I would be happy to stay here again.
Stayed overnight for a concert. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was really spacious and modern. Would definitely stay again.
Love staying in the Gibson Hotel. Staff are great and the rooms are lovely. Was attending a concert in the O2 so the location couldn't have been better!
stayed there for a concert , was best city hotel have been in years and well layed out with nice interior, was upgraded to suite , so made the stay even more enjoyable. next to o2 so no waiting for taxis or luas after concert.. staff very chatty too made it feel like country hotel in the city
Great hotel, excellent location, staff very friendly and helpful. Handy for Luas.
This hotel is great, I stayed here last Friday for a treat for wife and me.From the moment you arrive, the receptionist shaking your hand to the free fruit available in the hallways, the hotel is run to a very high standard and the rooms are great. The location of the hotel at the last stop of the Luas is great as well.I would and already have recommended this hotel to my friends. I have booked another night for later this year.
We really enjoyed our stay, the rooms were very nice and comfortable and the staff were very helpful.
Fabulous hotel to stay at, we were at the O2 for the Il Divo concert, the hotel is in the perfect location for going to concerts, and the stall there are all wonderful.
Staff were very friendly and polite made very good impression
Great Hotel if visiting O2 - just walk across the road. Easy to access city centre / train station with luas stop outside front door. Rooms were lovely with tea / coffee making facility, hairdryer etc. Only fault there was no safe. Hotel staff were very friendly. Lovely bar and restaurant. Breakfast offered a good choice of hot/ cold buffet and free morning paper.
Fantastic bedrooms.they were big, warm and the beds are comfy..the staff were amazing and so friendly
The room was very comfortable. The staff were friendly
Excellent hotel, very spacious rooms. Helpful staff. Reasonable bar prices, no more expensive than city centre pubs. The only thing I can fault is regarding the bathroom - when you put the bathroom light on, it lights up the bedroom, as there is a glass panel in the between there and the bedroom.
Fantastic hotel, best hotel I have stayed in in Ireland - beautiful rooms, perfect location, great staff and great overall experience
Always enjoy spending the night here the beds are great and you get a good nights sleep also there is a great breakfast.very good cinema beside it and a bonus if you are going to the 02 as it is a stone throw away, the luas is right outside to take you into the city a five min journey.
Fantastic hotel super modern great food with tram just outside the door to take you into city centre
we stayed in Gibson hotel for 1 night for a gig, I wouldn't stay anywhere else especially if you are going to the 02, we absolutely loved this hotel, staff is very helpful, food is excellent, beds are so comfortable and shower is fab too, its only few minutes to the city centre by Luas which stops right outside the door, great value for money, we will be coming back
Had a wonderful stay at the Gibson Hotel, we arrived at noon and was not expecting early check in but the receptionist did not even hesitate giving us our room. She was extremely professional yet friendly and covered off every aspect of the hotel. The hotel is very modern and is very bright with first class decor, the blinds on the window were electically controlled which showed the room was of a very high standard. The bathroom was spotless with a huge shower. We ate in the restaurant and the food was to die for, service was impecable and the price was very reasonable considering dublin rates and a concert was on the same ngt in the O2 across the road. Bar staff were very helpful and even helped me rearrange table and chairs so our party could all sit together. It was our anniversary and i had mentioned it in a mail to the hotel prior to staying and when we got back to the room that evening, they had personalised muffins left for us, this totally exceeded our expectation and a very nice touch. Overall it was one of the nicest hotels we stayed in and would definetly go back.
stayed at hotel for the killers concert ,staff were friendly.luas outside hotel, very happy with room .
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Gibson. We enjoyed lunch in the bar before jumping on the Luas(outside front door of hotel) to head to the centre. Hotel Location is super for the O2. The girl we met at check in was lovely and explained everything so clearly. Next morning we followed the hotel recommendations and got to breakfast for 10am as hotel was full for the Killers concert. The breakfast layout was perfect and the selection was very tasty, one of the nicest hotel breakfasts we had for awhile.
One of the best hotels in Dublin. Our fifth stay and never a problem. This time there for The Killers at the O2 and The Gibson helped make it a very special weekend
We stayed at The Gibson recently as a party of 4 going to a concert. We booked 2 double rooms. The hotel was very busy as there was a concert on. There was a queue for check in when we arrived but all the reception desks were open and the queue moved very quickly. The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming and showed up how to use express check out in morning as it would be busy. The rooms are modern and clean, as is the whole hotel. We ate in the bar which had a lovely Aisan menu. The only negative we found was it took time to be served in the bar even though there were about 7 bar staff there at one point. The breakfast buffet was great with a large selection and plenty of it. We would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone going to a concert or even just wanting to stay in Dublin as the Luas stops just outside hotel making it ideal to get around town.
Excellent hotel, simple, sleek, good food and it just works!
The Gibson consistently delivers a professional experience. Great staff and nicely put together interior in both public and bedroom areas. Only reason they get 4 stars from me and not 5 is breakfast. It's ok but Radisson Golden Lane knocks socks off it!
a very relaxing hotel, easy to get to, lovely friendly staff and the rooms are fab. the relaxation area is fab overall we couldnt ask for better that why its our third time to stay and catch a show :-)
We really enjoyed our stay in the Gibson Hotel, We were attending a concert in the O2 so it was an ideal place & location to stay. (across the road from the O2) From start to finish it was a very pleasant experience, very professional, helpful and friendly staff, lovely rooms, no complaints, we enjoyed great food, at very reasonable prices before the concert, and an equally good buffet breakfast the following morning. We'd highly recommend it.
Major confusion with rooms. Two rooms assigned next to each other. One given out to somebody with same surname. Card then given to us for the room.... Occupied by an elderly couple. Very poor that this should happen. Awkward for me but must / could have been very very embarrassing.
We stayed here for one night as we were going to the O2 for a gig! Was really surprised with the room it was fabulous, really stylish and comfortable not too mention clean. Also delighted to see you get complimentary water!! Would definitely stay there again!
This is my second time staying. With it's proximity to the O2, it's perfect for concert goers. Booking was for 3 people, consisted of a double bed and rollaway bed. Even with the rollaway bed (which was v comfy) there was enough space in the room. Reception staff are lovely and efficient. Room spotlessly clean. Amazing shower and speakers in the bathroom connected to the tv which is very cool. Breakfast was ok, I have had better elsewhere. We ate in the hotel restaurant, no problems with the food but the service was very disappointing. However, overall I'd recommend the hotel and will stay here again. Also, the express check out is great.
Great hotel, we stayed there as its right next to the 02 point depot. Rooms are modern and spotless with a choice of magazines on the table. Loads of channels on the tv which had a perfect picture! The only down side of if is they only serve Thai food in the bar and restaurant , which to me meant eating a burger outside the O2 instead! That aside I would stay there again, without giving it a second thought.
The hotel itself was lovely, bedrooms with plenty of space and comfortable. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. Am not a fan of a cooked breakfast served on a cold plate. A lot of improvement needed in this regard. The staff were friendly and helpful. It is a very good location with transport available outside the front of the hotel. Would stay there again.
Fantastic as always staff rooms breakfast location brilliant!!!!!!
Queued for the check in but there were no people in the queue. persons at the desks chatting. The meals served in the Bar area were ALL of the same variety with Indonesian flavouring and peanut oil races on all so we could not eat in it. not enough variety of food available. However we did meet a very concscienious waiter and he managed to procure a table in the fully booked resturant which saved the day WELL DONE. Rooms are excellent withexcellent services and attention to detail. We will stay again but will book the resturant firstly.
Very relaxing enjoyable stay. Very clean spacious room. Staff very friendly and helpful.
it was a lovely hotel to stay in.very clean and comfortable.the staff were very pleasent and helpful.i would stay there again.
Great hotel, very friendly staff. Excellent location at the O2 Dublin. Staying again in December! Thanks again Gibson Hotel Staff!
We loved the hotel. We were there for John Bishop @ the o2. Drinks in the bar were quite expensive (€13.20 for a pint and one glass of wine) but suppose thats to be expected in Dublin! Room was fantastic, really comfy bed and the shower was amazing, we got 5 star quality at 2 star prices :)
Had a great stay. Great location when attending the O2 . Only downside was a small bit of blood stain on on of the cushions on the bed . Will return again though
This is our 4th time to stay in the Gibson and as usual the service and comfort of the hotel was excellent. Everything was so easy from checking in to leaving. The hotel is very quiet and relaxing.
Excellent hotel and rooms, very helpful staff.
Hotel was in a great location - right beside the 02. The room was very nice & clean. Staff were all friendly but service was very slow in the bar and restaurant. 30 minute wait for drinks order on the first evening - coffee was gone cold by the time it finally arrived to the table. Breakfast was lovely when we finally got seated, waited in a slow queue to be seated (lots of vacated tables were available but they hadnt been cleared). Checkin was also slow but a floor manager was working hard to apologise for the slow service at checkin which was appreciated. Overall we would stay again gladly if going to the 02 but would go elsewhere for food & drink due to slow service.
Stayed there for one night while attending an event in the O2. The location was ideal (right beside O2 so no rushing for Luas after), all the hotel staff were great, really friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful dinner in the hotel. Looking forward to staying there agin!
We stayed in the Gibson for a concert in the o2 last weekend. In my opinion the hotel is FAB. Really modern and gorgeous design. Our room was beautiful, loads of space, shower was great, an it was absolutely spotless. The staff were friendly, polite and very helpful. The breakfast was part of the deal and was delicious and we got loads. The o2 was just a minute's walk from there so it's a no brainer that we'll be staying there again in the future...
The hotel was beautiful and the room was very comfortable. It was also right beside the O2 Area which was the reason we were there. The only problem I had was the price of the food and drink. It was very expensive and as there were no other resturants close by we had no other choice but to pay the prices.
Staff very courteous and helpful. Standard of facilities first class for this standard of hotel - rooms generous in size and well equipped, bar area lively and service great, restaurant produced fantastic food for me and my guest. Breakfast buffet varied and lots of healthy options. Great location for O2 and Convention Centre, but still a bit of a building site at present.
Excellent location for City centre and Dublin Port. 1 min drive for Ferry to UK. accom., superb , breakfast good, had dinner for 4, excelllent good value for money, Staff friendly.
A fabulous night's sleep in a first class hotel. I liked everything about the Gibson, from the modern and classy decor to the comfort of the rooms (small touches like a powerful shower make a big difference) to the quality of the breakfast. Very friendly staff too. I'll definitely be coming again!
This is the 3rd time we stayed in the Gibson hotel. Once again, our stay was excellent. The hotel room was clean, spacious and comfortable. It is great that the Luas stops right outside the hotel door so it makes it very convenient for getting around Dublin. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel & will continue to stay there when visiting Dublin.
Facilities were excellent, room spotless and very friendly staff.
Superb in every way, can only fault the breakfast which wasn't awful but didn't match up to the excellent standard of everything else so room for improvement there.
Stayed at The Gibson for one night only. Got an excellent bed & breakfast rate with Roomex. Lovely spacious double room with free in room wifi. Fabulous buffet breakfast and friendly helpful staff. Lucas stop right outside front door. Would recommend to anyone and will return myself at a future date.
We decided to treat ourselves to a nice hotel for the night in Dublin and had heard about The Gibson.Well we were not disappointed, easy to find and a great location with the luas just outside the entrance. The hotel lobby is a super setup and a very impressive bar and restaurant. The room was also perfect and what a bathroom, really good size and a great shower. The staff were very friendly also so I would definitely recommend this hotel and I hope to return soon.
very impresses with rooms the service was excelent the gentleman that checked us in was so mannerly and helpful we had a lunch in the bar which was great. could not fault the hotel and will definitly revisit .
Although a little out from town The Gibson is situated right beside a Luas stop. Our room was fresh, immaculately clean and very calming. Reception was excellent and took our bags as we had arrived early and there were no rooms ready. We both agreed that the breakfast was one of the best we had ever received in a hotel. Everything was fresh, fresh, fresh! A huge selection of breads, cereals, hot food and fruits - exceptional! All in all a great experience and would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.
Facilities are excellent, location very good, staff efficient.
I've stayed at the Gibson Hotel on a number of occasions on business and always found it to be an execellent hotel. Apart from a limited menu, the food is good, the rooms are always fresh and clean and the free wi-fi is a bonus.
We stayed there for the night of Paul Simon concert at the O2, the hotel is fabulous, great value for money, and right across the road from the O2. The Luas goes from the front door to Hueston station which makes it easily accessable. The rooms are perfectly equiped with iron , ironing board, full size hairdryer and full size kettle. We will dinitly be using this hotel again.
Very clean, good food. Quality rooms.
Found staff very help full. Rooms were very nice and clean. only down side that the rooms were very warm during the night.
Brilliant hotel. Very comfortable, extremely clean, wonderful staff and a convenient location made even better with a tram stop outside the door.
Fantastic place to stay- will definetly stay here again. Great location, staff were very friendly and the rooms were gorgeous.
Very nice hotel, modern. Staff friendly and efficient. Stayed for business and would recommend it.
From the moment we walked in to the moment we left The Gibson Hotel proved to be one of the best if not the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The receptionist was 1st class and the rooms were superb, not just for size but for quality. the evening meal was first rate and the all you can eat breakfast could not be faulted. The location and transportation was excellent and even though this was our first visit to the Gibson whenever we stay in Dublin again rest assured we will be booking into this hotel.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Gibson. We were going to a show in the O2, it was so handy as it was just across the way we knew our car was in a safe place for the night. The bar was great quiet and relaxing just what we were looking for. The staff were very polite and friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. The rooms were bright and airy and clean. Fantastic experience and would definitely recommend it for a weekend break.
great hotel.got good deal through roomex.luas stops right outside so very easy to reach from city centre. check in smooth and friendly. free wi fi pass given at reception. room on 3rd floor was spacious and had everything you would need. tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, iron & board etc all included. bed very comfortable. was going to concert at o2 which is right across the road. had bar snacks and drinks after concert which were well priced for dublin. breakfast good and plentiful. check out was smooth. would recommend hotel to anybody travelling to dublin.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, we love it's convenience to the O2 arena. Staff are really professional and friendly. Breakfast was fab.
One of the best hotel stays I've ever had. Considering the price, it's even more of an incredible hotel. The hotel is very modern, clean and comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Two other couples stayed in the hotel at the same time as us and likewise they were impressed with it. I now know what hotel to recommend to people who wish to stay in Dublin!
Weekend break away with the hubby. Enjoyed our stay. Staff were extremely helpful. Room was really nice and food was great. Had booked a twin room thru Roomex as no doubles available - got upgraded to a double no questions asked upon checkin for no additional cost. Would highly recommend this hotel especially to people attending any event in the O2. We will definitely be returning :)
Friendly professional staff. Excellent rooms. Nice bar with balcony on the 3rd floor. Central location and good value.
We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. We were at a show in the O2 and it was so handy to only have to walk across the courtyard. The bar food was lovely and the rooms were gorgeous (the beds were extremely comfy!)
A big thanks to all the staff and management of The Gibson, they were so professional, friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed the breakfasts particularly and also had a really tasty evening meal in the Hemi Bar. The bedroom was very comfortable and stylish as was the rest of the hotel. We were delighted with the location as we were attending a show at the O2 and it is right next door. Also the Luas, or city tram, is just outside the front door and 5 minutes to the city centre.
It has now become like a package deal for us, when we're going to the O2 we have to stay in the Gibson it adds to the whole experience. One little downside is the €14 charge for overnight parking, I think this is the only hotel we have stayed at that charges residents for parking.
Well decorated, clean and fresh room. The calm choice of colours gave a relaxing ambiance, good temperature - easily controlled - and comfortable. Hotel very handy for people coming form various destinations as served by the Luas from the 2 main train stations and the central bus station. Check in staff very helpful and friendly and the process was smooth. Express check out very convenient. While the service in the bar was a little slow, staff were courteous and friendly. Found the Asian menu in the bar a little limited for someone who would rather more 'traditional' bar food.
this hotel is amazing! the decor, location, price, food, cocktails ( i could go on!!!) is fantastic but my only negative is the lack of signal for mobile phones! it was a bit frustrating to say the least but i wud defo stay here again and wud recommend it to anyone!!!!
Ooh lala what a fancy hotel. Very friendly staff and very organised. There are no hidden extras when you check in and they provide as much information as possible to all guests on checkin The room was fabalous and oh my god the shower was brilliant, something like you would have at home Will definitely be back if I am attending and event in the O2 Thanks for a great night!!
First time staying here, would definetly return. The rooms were not overly spacious but well designed, nice & bright, looked out over a courtyard. Reception staff very helpful. Very convenient to the O2. Shopping centre & cinema next door also. Very easy to find and loads of parking available.
We had a fantastic stay at the gibson. The rooms were spacious and spotless. we were going to a concert at the o2, we couldn't have been closer. Thanks to all the staff, who were very helpful and polite at all times
Brilliant service and great location of the hotel. lovely view over habour and brilliant breakfast. superfast in the city using the luas.
Check in as always perfect, room perfect, everything spotless. One small gripe, the menu in the bar was mainly Thai so did not suit the person in my company and we needed to travel back into town for food. Apart from that excellent all round.
Lovely hotel, lovely rooms, food and service. Would recommend to a friend.
Excellent as always. No complaints. Definitely be back.
Rooms were fabulous, very modern and spotlessly clean. Choice of barfood was minimal. We don't like chinese food, and there was no other option in bar. drinks in residents bar were extremely overpriced.
While attending a recent concert in the O2 we decided for convenience to stay in the Gibson Hotel. What a wise decision. It was so convenient and the staff were more than helpful at all times. We had a pre-concert dinner in the restaurant which allowed us overlook the O2 and we could watch the queue so we didn't feel we needed to rush. Breakfast next morning was absolutely beautiful with all requirements and needs catered for. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. Air conditioning was a little loud but apart from that we had no complaints at all. Would definitely stay again. If there was any complaint it would be the price of the wine but I suppose we were charged Dublin prices!
This was my third stay in the Gibson hotel and every time have booked through Roomex.com. The hotel is superb and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable and clean and also their is no noise i.e doors banging or hearing televisions from other rooms. I have even recommended the hotel to several people and they all have been very happy with their stay.
An excellent stay in a perfect location if you are going to a show in the o2. I found no fault with the hotel.. The shower was lovely and I had the best sleep I had in ages. The o2 is only across the street. The luas is outside the door and brings you into town centre in ten minutes
Fantastic experience, all hotels should be like Gibson Hotel. We even happened to meet Enda Kenny TD and shook his hand. Staff are courteous and happy to make sure you are looked after. Superb!!
The rooms were very spacious, bright, modern, comfortable, air conditioning (worked as often does not in places, decor very modern, fabulous shower, very comfortable bed If I had to criticise then it would be that it was a bit difficult to find the rooms, could have more obvious signage
Second time staying, very happy with everything again.
room excellent everything very good only was dissapointed on having to pay for car park
The rooms in this hotel are lovely facing onto a serene relaxation outside area. The bar had a light bites menu (for after o2 events, concerts, I presume) The only things that weren't 100% were things the hotel had no control of, the Luas was out of action so due to location of hotel (and my being 7 months pregnant with back pain, the city centre was not that easy to get to) I would recommend to ask for a room near the lift as the hotel floors are quite big and you could be walking a while!!!
Great room and breakfast, very new and modern.
I REALLY ENJOYED MY STAY AT THE GIBSON HOTEL AND WOULD GLADLY GO BACK AGAIN, VERY FRIENDLY STAFF AND THE ROOMSWEE TOP CLASS :)
There was 4 of us in total who stayed in the hotel it was fantastic our daughters their first time at a concert in the 02 and to be staying so close in this beautiful hotel they were thrilled. The staff could'nt have been nicer, rooms were so clean and everything to hand, staff very friendly and helpful and made the weekend one to remember. We would be delighted to recommend this hotel and your goodselfs in. the future
Staff, location and decor second to none. Delicious breakfast to finish it off :0) will definitely return.
Very comfortable and modern. Very helpful staff throughout. Stayed in a spacious double room very comfortable and superb ensuite with rainwater shower. The only negatives which I found were that the bar/restaurant food was expensive, I stayed on the night of a concert but at least there should be a reduction for guests. Liked the modern feel and quirky features throughout such as the little garden and the ivy lined wall.Great place to stay even if not attending concert luas just outside - a true hidden gem. Shame that there is no pool would of been perfect. Excellent speedy complimentary wifi. Was expecting the tv to have a internet function but was just the basic channels. Cant find any major faults well done to the staff and management will certainly recommend and will return again.
We were very impressed with all elements of our stay in this hotel , all staff were very professional , courteous and well informed . The decor and design in rooms is excellent with great attention to detail complemented by excellent housekeeping . Breakfast was efficiently managed and very tasty . We have booked a return visit can't wait ! Thank you .
I stayed at this hotel recently for the XFactor show in the o2,march 2012 Location ideal, rooms excellant and very spacious. the only fault i would give this hotel is the price of food and drink,if they were alot more resonable with the prices,(PEOPLE WOULD ACTUALLY SPEND MORE. You get a lovely liitle book in your room full of info of the hotel and the area. the drinks in this were all 40 cent cheaper than what you are charged at the bar??? maybe prices are put up for shows???
Fantastic so close to the O2 And such a fab modern hotel
We had a function in town and stayed over. Location was very good for us, just by the Port tunnel. Hotel is very cool, nice atmosphere. But the beds are amazing! really comfortable sleep. And breakfast is excellent, top class sausages! Very good value, would recommend to friends.
Probably one of the best hotels I have stayed in for a long while. For such a reasonable rate compared to other Dublin Hotels, it has everything. We were going to a gig in the O2 and it is perfect for this, literally a stones throw away and also the fact the luas stops at the front door. From its glass lifts to its spacious reception and bar, to the rooms which were spotless and very comfortable, (best nights sleep ever). The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food second to none, they also had a buffet available before the show and still serving food to concert goers after the show late into the morning. The selection of food for breakfast was excellent. I will definitely be staying in this hotel when I visit Dublin again, cannot recommend it enough.
Lovely Hotel. Everything was Superb. I'll be staying there again.
hotel is beautiful just pity dont check paper work properly when go to bother of presenting it at check in save lot of embarressment!!!!!!!!
this is our second time to stay at this hotel. Staff very friendly. Rooms clean and comfortable and the best showers ever. I would not consider staying anywhere else when going to a show in the 02 as its just accross the road. Look forward to my next stay there
amazing hotel great staff
My teenage daughter and I stayed at the Gibson recently as we were attending a show in the O2. We arrived in Dublin early so decided to drop our bags to go shopping but were pleasantly surprised that our room was available on arrival, even though it was only 11 a.m. This meant we could get freshened up before hitting the shops. Hotel is literally 200 metres from the O2 and 100 metres from the Luas into town so extremely convenient. Rooms are gorgeous, spacious and modern but still warm and comfortable and very well laid out with all facilities, huge shower, tea/coffee making, iron & ironing board, proper hairdryer etc. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful on check in and check out. Breakfast is excellent, all the usual fare buffet style but really well laid out and best range I've seen for continental breakfasts, cold meats, cheese etc. All in all I couldn't rate Gibson any higher and look forward to many more visits. In fact I'm almost tempted to not give such a great review so I can keep it a secret for a little while longer!
Really enjoyed our stay at the Gibson! Staff very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, very contemporary and above all comfortable. Loved the location as you have the Luas out front if you want to pop into town. Superb if you are going to an event at the O2 - just be sure to book the restaurant well in advance for gig days.
Location for the O2 is perfect. Rooms were lovely and spacious, food was lovely. The samples of shampoo in the bathroom even smelt fab! Perfect hotel for a night in the o2.
What a great hotel, and it has amazing vistas of Dublin Port and The O2 arena. We stayed for one night but will return every time we visit Dublin from now on. It was a delight and the breakfast was just class. Good clean and what staying in a hotel should be about.
great location for o2, friendly staff, will be back again
The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Being so close to the O2 is brilliant. Only observation is that the menu in the restaurant seemed to be a special concert menu and not the one advertised on the website, a bit disappointing. Overall we had a brilliant time.
We have used this hotel a few times through roomex. The hotel is so easy to get to using public transport. From your arrival to departure the staff could'nt be more helpful .The standard and cleanliness of the rooms and hotel is first class. The breakfast and restaurant are of a very high standard with lots of choices for everyone. The standards are consistantly high, with lovely personal touches.A lovely, modern ,sleek hotel which caters for all ages.Highly reccommended
Great rooms . and staff but let down by cooked breakfast. They would need to employ a breakfast chef !! Breakfast was poor cooking of bacon sausage etc
This was my first time staying in the Gibson. it was a great location, right beside the O2 and the luas direct in the Centre of Dublin was outside the front door. the staff were very helpful. we had a few drink in the bar before and after a concert. We didn't eat here, but the bar food looked good. We had only one black mark, the bathroom towel were hard and could with some fabric softener
My brother and I booked into the Gibson, as we where going to a gig at the O2! I was very impressed by the whole hotel, the design, the service, the cool bar and fab bar food, ambiance and location. We had a twin room which was super clean and enough room for us, loved the modern layout, large shower and it overlooked the leafy courtyard. I will definitely be back and I am already looking forward to it..... I now consider myself a Gibson Hotel fan! Thanks
very good experience , nice location , ideal for the o2
beutiful hotel convient location for the o2, excellent location for luas line with 5 mnins and in centre of town. loved stay, bedrooms glorious, food excellent
I stayed at the Gibson on 18th Dec with my husband and daughter. The check in procedure was completely hassle free and we were made well aware of all the facilities available to us. My only regret was that my stay was too short to allow us to fully avail of them! The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated although it was very warm, even with the heating turned down. Breakfast the following morning was very good, with plenty of everything. All staff were extremely helpful and courteous and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to others. Perfect for events at the O2.
This hotel is excellent. You can park at the O2 car park for €14 for 24 hours. Hotel reception will stamp your ticket. All staff that I met were very helpful and friendly. The o2 is literally across the road, the Luas is right outside the door. There was a great buzz in the bar after the O2 gig. Room was very comfy. Breakfast was very good. I found myself checking upcoming events on the O2 website looking for an excuse to get back to the Gibson.
A great hotel. Room well equiped with modern contemporary decor. Would definitely stay here again
Lovely Hotel in good location. Staff very pleasant and helpful. I will return.
The Gibson was a lovely hotel. Super handy for the O2. The staff were very friendly and helpful. the food in the bar was a little expensive but very nice. To top it all off we got upgraded to a Junior Suite! no complaits, very enjoyable stay.
We were unable to stay in the Gibson Hotel due to flooding repairs not being completed. They transfered us the the Maldron Hotel for the night. The Management and Staff of the Gibson Hotel were excellant and looked after us very well and we were compensated for our inconvenience. We would certainly recommend the Gibson Hotel its Staff and Management.
We had a lovely time at the Gibson. We were welcomed with mulled wine and mince pie reception. The hotel is very modern and clean. The luas stop is right outside the door and the O2 is a stones throw away. All in all it was a very enjoyable stay. And I would go there again.
Lovely, large room. Very modern & clean. Bit of a queue for check in and check out. Same for bar food & drink as there was a concert on in the O2 but overall we were very saitisfied with the hotel & staff.
We found this hotel really lovely a true 4 star hotel. Location is excellent with the Luas just outside the door. The staff are very professional and helpful.Lovely food and really nice breakfast. Will be back!
We had a wonderful experience and its a fabulous hotel with very helpful and courteous staff.
I attended a business meeting at the hotel and stayed over. The meeting rooms were great and excellently equipped. Though we opted for the light lunch it was of very high quality and filling. The bedrooms are very clean, really well furnished and stylish. Very comfortable to work in too (good wifi). The bedrooms have got to be the quietest I have ever stayed in as compaired to other European capitals. Duvet was nearly too warm! Hotel was really well connected to business & shopping areas by modern tram (walkable too), which I took advantge of. If you like Thai then you will like the bar food for evening dinner, otherwise you may have to venture further afield.
The Gibon Hotel was fantastic. It was all very clean and the room spacious. All the staff in the hotel were very helpful and service was very quick. I would recommend everyone staying in Dublin to stay at this hotel. I look forward to staying there again.
we had an excellent stay only thing we would recomend is that mirror is too far from any plug to dry hair properally
A good clean comfortable hotel with direct links to the city centre. Overlooks the O2 and is close to the convention centre. The luas stops literally at the front door of the hotel so its a great base for shopping. We didn't eat in the hotel so are unable to comment on the food. The rooms are comfortable, spacious with all mod cons. Lovely big bathroom with power shower. Staff are friendly and efficient. Overall would recommend.
Everything about our recent stay in the Gibson was first class. Great hotel, staff and location. Parking was also very convenient. Will definately be back and booking through Roomex. Many thanks.
really enjoyed stay will want to stay again excellent room and breakfast
The rooms are superclean and very quiet at night. The staff are very helpfull and friendly. Good connection to the city centre (LUAS stop at the frontdoor)and to the airport (AIRLINK busstop 50m from the frontdoor)
This hotel is probably the best in dublin. Its not over priced the rooms are fab and as a girl staying on my own that particular nite you feel very safe. Staff are extremely nice. Fab breakfast - all round would not stay anywhere else!
This was my second stay at the Gibson. The staff are friendly and efficeint. The Hotel layout modern with that minimalmist feel but still warm and inviting. It is right beside the Luas, the O2 and convenient to any tourist attraction in the city. This hotel is surprising reasonably priced for the quality and service it provides.
Stayed at the Gibson for Childline Concert, from the moment we walked into the establishment it was so impressive. The staff at reception were excellent, so helpful and nothing was a problem to them. The rooms are airy and so spacious and the fridge in the room is an excellent idea. After the concert we ordered in room dinning, the food was divine and arrived to our room within 10 minutes of ordering. The only downfall was that there was a charge of €4 for same, this was not on the menu. I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and will be returning in the very near future
Spacious rooms, great bar and good food.
As per usual excellent in every way.
The Gibson Hotel is a fabulous place to stay for a city centre break. The location is ideal. The service and staff were amazing. We ate in the Bar, a little pricey for what you get but very nice.
Lovely hotel- bedrooms were excellent. Spotless, comfortable and modern. Staff very friendly. So handy to find and perfect location if going to a concert at the O2. Travelled with a group- verdict on breakfast- best we've had in hotel in Ireland!
We have a great stay at the Gibson. We were attending George Michael concert at the 02 and it was me & my husbands first night away after having our daughter three months ago. We were upgraded to an executive suite which was just fabulous. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant, where there was a great atmosphere. We came back to the hotel after the concert as the music and cocktail were great. I would highly recommend anyone to stay at the Gibson
My wife and i stayed here for one night as we were attending a concert at the 02, the hotel is in a great location, next to the 02 arena and next to the Luas(tram) stop. We ate a lovely meal which was good value in the restaurant, 2 courses for €24. Bar food also available and good to see Gluten Free options available. Hotel was busy with the concert and staff were nice, we returned to the hotel after the concert which was busy and had a few drinks. Breakfast was excellent, a huge choice of hot and cold food, and Gluten Free bread available. Room was very spacious and comfortable, air con, big shower, complimentary water. Would definitely recommend staying here if attending a concert and were looking for a quiet night afterwards. Has a car park at €14/night. It is possible to get a luas to the city centre if you were looking for a more lively late night venue/club, just a few stops away.
This is a beautiful hotel, with exceptional rooms & in a great location. Almost everything is of the highest standard. My only issue with the stay was the very limited bar food menu & the very very expensive price of the food. Almost €14 for a noodle dish is ridiculous.
Absolutely Class. The second time I've stayed in the Gibson and I'd highly recommend it. So handy if you're going to the 02. The staff are brilliant and the food is yum...what more could you ask for?
Great hotel and so convenient for the O2. Will definitely return
Great hotel, one of the best we have stayed in, in Dublin. Location not a problem given that the Luas was right outside the front door and better quality than inner city hotels.
very good service all round
We stayed in a Triple Room on 1st Nov for 1 night. The room was great large and spacious. It was too warm and when I tried to turn the air conditioning down it didn't really give any cool air out. I used the shower but when I was finished and opened the shower door there was water all over the bathroom floor. I had to lay down 3 towels to soak it all up. It was quite irritating and unnecessary. This needs to be addressed as it waisted at least 20 mins cleaning it all up when we were rushing out to a concert. A large hotel like the Gibson should be well able to deal with large numbers of guests, but I was quite surprised to see how the Bar and Bar Restaurant were under severe pressure. We waited 20 mins for a table and then waited a further 25 mins for our food and drinks. Hotel guests should be given preference instead of serving people who have popped in for a drink or food before the concert who are not staying in the hotel and who have just walked in from the street. When we returned from the concert we decided to have a drink in the bar. To our amazement there wasn't one seat available in both bars and reception area. We were forced to retire to our room with our drinks to watch TV and stay there for the remainder of the night. We would have liked to enjoy the atmosphere and stayed relaxing in the bar area(and bring business to the bar) but it was too crowded and all hopes of seating were crushed. If we return again to this hotel we will probably have to leave a concert 20 mins early to get a seat in the bar in the hotel or else leave one of us behind to keep our seats. More seating would help!
Fantastic hotel in all aspects, really friendly staff, spotlees clean, wonderful food and the Tram stop right out front( 5 mins to city center ) would go back tomorrow!!!!
Absolutely great, try friendly staff and excellent service
This was a perfect location for our stay in dublin as we were attending a gig in the O2. The room was very nice clean, comfortable and lovely layed out. The breakfast was beautiful couldn't fault it great choice. All round the staff were very helpful and I definitely will be returning to The Gibson*****
i stay at the gibson hotel quite often and have never had a negative experience room is always exceptionally clean and comfortable i am staying again this week and had to request twin room instead of double i had booked i emailed them to request same and was answered immediately that it was no problem well done staff lovely brekkie too
Just stayed 1 night & really enjoyed it. Great location beside the O2. Lovely room - very clean & comfortable - Huge shower -no bath - but that didn't bother us. Had food (with a view) in the bar & it was very good. Staff exceptionally friendly. Only down side - Eur14 for parking for the night! A bit steep.
Lovely hotel & standard room was very nice, with flat screen tv and comfortable bed. I recommend getting breakfast. We paid €97 for B&B on a Saturday, parking was €14 extra for 24 hours tho. The Luas is directly outside the front door. I would stay again.
Great location, great staff, great hotel. Would definitely stay again.
We only stayed for 1 night but could have easily stayed for a week. This hotel is immaculate. Our room was perfect. Cosy comfortable and very spacious. The bathroom was a a good size and shower was fantastic. The staff were extremely approachable and couldnt do enough or us. It was a refreshing and delighful change compared to other hotels to have very friendly and helpful staff. The food was beautiful and nothing like the usual tasteless hotel food. We will be returning to this hotel again in November and next April. We wil be recommending this hotel to everyone we know in future. Since we have stayed here in The Gibson I don't think we would be happy staying any where else in Dublin in the future. So you will be seeing a lot more of us :)
everything was excellent. hotel was great - very modern. staff was very friendly and it could not get any closer to the O2. great price from Roomex too.
A great hotel in the perfect position. Arriving from Belfast by car, the Dublin Port Tunnel took us directly to the covered carpark under the hotel. Lifts lead straight up to reception. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were large, clean, very tidy and fully equipped. Our breakfast was superb, with a wide selection freshly cooked food as well as the usual continental alternatives. Meals can be taken in the spacious dininn area or outside on the south facing balcony, 3 floors above the street and overlooling the world famous O2 arena and the Dublin harbour. Several bar areas, relaxation areas and a small gymnasium complete the story inside. For transport links to Dublin city, or the Connolly or Heuston mainline stations, there is the Luas tramway at the front door, and the East Link city bypass round the corner, for motorists heading south of Dublin. It will be our first choice for trips to Dublin in the future.
The Gibson hotel is very good and the bedroom is amazing. Very quiet area in the Point!
We had a lovely stay at the Gibson Hotel. The service, location, and decor was very good. The bedroom was clean, bright and spacious.
This hotel was outstanding and lived up to the reports I heard from friends. From beginning to end we were treated with the best care and attention. The room was top class with all you would expect of a hotel of this caliber. As it was a birthday occasion the staff had left two cup cakes in the room with the coffee facilities with happy birthday on them in chocolate. A really personal touch and very impressive. The location was superb with transport outside the door. Hotel was spotless, staff friendly and courteous and I could not recommend this hotel high enough. A return visit is definitely on the cards for a spot of Christmas shopping. Anyone who passes on this is missing out. It is everything it says in the advert and more. Top notch.
really enjoyed our stay. perfect location for 02 concerts and luas stop wright outside the door.will use the hotel again without doubt.
Great hotel. Staff are very friendly & helpful. Still can be queues for checking ing and out but they do seem to be workign on that. The rooms are excellent.
very convenient for the o2 and very pleasent stay
I stayed for 1 night (mon) and included brekfast which was more den adequate check in was quick and easy i stayed in a twin room which was plenty big and fully equipped wit air-conditioning,safe,fridge,tv and phone along wit tea/coffee making facilities. the luas is right outside the front door and its directly across from entrance 3 of the 02. I was very pleased with my stay here for the reasonable price i paid. I would definately recommend it and plan on returning again some day
We really enjoyed our stay at the Gibson hotel. Everything from the food, to the rooms and its very close proximity to the O2 was fantastic. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are going to a concert due to its location and you can step on the Luas line directly outside the hotel as well.
my daughter and I had a lovely one night stay at the Gibson as we were up for a concert across the road in the 02. the luas stop is just outside the door so very handy. Staff were very friendly and helpful, beds very comfy, service in bar and restaurant excellent efficient and friendly. This is a spotless well run contemporary hotel deserving of its 4 stars. We will be back.
We went to the O2 last weekend to see Batman. We chose the Gibson Hotel because it is right beside the O2. The convenience of just being able to walk across a paved area to the event is fantastic. The hotel was excellent, the staff are extremely friendly & helpful and the rooms are modern & spotless. The food in the bar was just what we needed. If I was to find fault, I would say that the 'window' into the bathroom from the bedroom is not a great design element! Other than the fact that you lacked any privacy in the bathroom, but if you used the bathroom during the night, the light from it shone lit up the bedroom. Other than that, it's perfect. We will definitely stay here again.
Recently stayed at this hotel as we were attending an event at the O2 and had read such great reviews about the hotel and also its closeness to the venue. We were not disappointed this hotel is top class we thoroughly enjoyed our stay from the room to the buffet breakfast we couldn't fault a thing about it. The staff are so friendly and all your needs are catered for. We are just thinking of another excuse to stay in this hotel very soon!!
The room was very clean and comfortable and quiet. We did have an early morning wake up phone call unscheduled and when mentioned to the staff they dealt with it extremely well. It was just a mix up with room numbers and they were very apologetic and gave us a free evening meal and numerous apologies re same. 5 stars for care and attention! This was our second stay in the hotel and would not heaitate to stay there again and would highly recommend it.
Great service as always.
Had an enjoyable stay - was ideal as I was attending O2. Staff friendly and efficient, room as usual well outfitted hope to be back again in november
I would reccomend the Gibson to anyone. It's a very smart and modern Hotel with friendly and efficient staff. This was our second time staying there and we will certainly be returning.
One word : ayacaramba! what a hotel, loved everything about it! check - in was striaght forward with no frills, was asked which paper would I like for the next morning and a bottle of water in the room! it's little touches like that that make a big difference! I will definitely be staying in the gibson again!!! staff were friendly and polite. this is what a hotel should be like! =)
The Gibson hotel is a real treat! Although a few minutes out from city centre, the Luas is fantastic and brings you to the city centre in a matter of minutes. Room was fantastic, superb shower facilities and spotless room. The balcony is a lovely touch. Had dinner in the Hemibar and it was fantastic, authentic thai food was lovely. Breakfast was also superb. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
Clean and quiet. Friendly and professional staff.
A very relaxing and enjoyable stay, within minutes of the city centre by Luas. Perfect location for events at The O2 and Convention Centre.
Really enjoyable stay. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Room was very comfortable and had nice touches such as great choice of magazines and fresh cooled water on arrival. Great location with easy access to town centre via Luas (stop - immediately outside hotel building).
Recommended by family to book this hotel for our short break in Dublin for our 25th Wedding Anniversary after staying in another part of Ireland prior to our stay. We found the reception staff very polite, friendly and courteous and made checking in a smooth process. Hotel double bedroom was very clean, spacious, welcoming and modern. Tea and coffee facilities together with an iron, ironing board and hairdryer provided. Shampoo, body wash and body lotion complimentary too. Perhaps more than one sachet could have been provided. We did ask for more milk portions from the night receptionist, but these never materialised that evening. Breakfast - a help yourself option - a full Irish breakfast or continental available. Lots of choice and as much as you wanted. Breakfast staff accomodating to your needs. Hotel chambermaids very polite. Had a couple of drinks in the bar one evening - reasonably priced considering it's a hotel. Seating areas comfortable. Quick and easy check out also. The Luas (tram system) stops right outside the hotel making getting into the City very quick and easy. The Airlink Bus from the Airport also stops adjacent to the hotel - if you purchase a 3 days Freedom pass you can use the hop-on-hop-off tour buses together with any Dublin buses for €26 - very convenient. The view from the hotel bedroom wasn't anything to shout about - looking out to wasteland - a bit dreary. The Dublin Eye was also just outside the hotel. A good choice if going to see a concert at the O2 as just opposite the hotel. Would recommend hotel to friends and family.
A suberb hotel with exceptional staff in a wonderful location. Could not have asked for more. Even the gym was very well kitted out and the staffs willingness to help in the bar and all areas of the hotel was faultless
The best hotel I have EVER stayed in. Extremely comfortable and absolutely gorgeously designed! I would recommend this hotel to EVERYONE. Right next to the o2 so brilliant location if you are going to a concert but if you're just looking to stay in Dublin, the Luas is right outside the door and can bring you straight into the city centre. The room has everything you need to have a comfortable stay and the food in the hotel restaurant is amazing! The shower in the room is the BEST EVER! :)
Lovely clean rooms with everything in them. Excellent staff at front desk - very informative. Great location. Perfect stay all round.
This Hotel is in a perfect location, the Luas line is right outside the door of the hotel. Rooms are funky and spacious. very comfy.
We recently stayed at the Gibson Hotel prior to catching a ferry the following morning. The rooms were beautiful- spotlessly clean and very well equipped with a brilliant hairdryer and iron with ironing board. The bathrooms were gorgeous, although the shower pressure was a bit disappointing. The selection at breakfast was amazing, suiting everyone from hot porridge to fresh fruit and yoghurt. The Luas stops right outside the door which is very convienent and we went to Mare Square for a few drinks in the evening which was a really nice area if you want a break from the hotel. All-in-all we really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.
Stayed at the Gibson for concert at the o2. Brilliant location, 100 yards from venue and Luas stop even closer. Reception on 3rd floor which was a bit unusual. Room large and modern, beautiful decor and everything you could need, iron, hairdryer, tea-making, flat screen tv, large bathroom. Staff throughout friendly and helpful. Had dinner, b&b package and food very high standard. Very adult clientele, no kids around, maybe because of concert? Don't know if they do family rooms? All in all, great hotel. We'll be back.
Spacious Rooms, Super friendly staff, Very good value on pre concert food. Great quality & Price - loved this hotel! Would book again in a heartbeat.
Myself and my friend stayed at the Gibson on the night we attended the Bon Jovi concert. We were amazed when we arrived first as the Hotel is quite different than the norm it has a very futuristic look about it very different but in a nice way . Staff were very pleasent throughout ,dinner and breakfast were lovely. We will certainly stay there again . The Luas stops right outside another plus.
A beautiful, modern hotel! We were both very impressed with this hotel right from we set foot through the door. Great service, and excellent location! Highly recommended and we will definately be back!
Fab hotel..very modern, clean, bright, spacious and quite. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location for attending concerts in the O2. Lovely food and great that it was served into the early hours of the morning as it was nice to have post concert snack. Really good transport link with tram stop directly outside door. Good value for money. Will definitely return
We had a lovely break in the Gibson Hotel, arriving to a champagne and strawberry reception!! Luckily, our stay coincided with the 1st anniversary of the hotel opening. We chose the Gibson for it's proximity to the Aviva Stadium and we weren't disappointed - it was only a 15-20 minute walk away. The room was excellent, very clean and comfortable and breakfast was extensive!. We would definitely recommend this hotel and, indeed, already have!.
We stayed in the Gibson Hotel while attending a concert in the nearby Aviva Stadium. The hotel is fresh and modern. The staff are friendly, courteous and helpful. The atmosphere is relaxing. An enjoyable stay.
we stayed there for a concert....very good location, great parking, nice staff and a lovely lovely breakfast the next morning. Will definately go back when im in the O2 for a concert.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Gibson Hotel. We were there for the Bryan Adams Concert in The O2 which is rite beside the Hotel. We only stayed here for one night but will definately be back. The rooms were very impressive and clean. Staff very friendly, all in all, a very relaxing and enjoyable stay! The bar had great atmosphere and the food and cocktails was very good! I would recommend this hotel to anyone and the prices where very reasonable!
Just back from the superb Gibson Hotel; we were attending the Take That concert and arrived just after 12; the receptionist organised our rooms for us without any hesitation; we chilled and relaxed in the lovely bar; had a lovely meal. the twin bedrooms were very spacious and luxurious; with really quirky details. All the staff were brilliant, helpful and efficient. Location brilliant; the o2 & the Luas is just a minute walk from the main entrance. I am so looking forward to my return to the Gibson; must say it is now one of my favourite hotels in Ireland; it even has outshone certain 5 star properties I have stayed in! Keep up the good work...
Excellent location for the O2 plus at the end of the Luas line. The bar food was excellent and very reasonably priced. The room was spotless and fresh. Good selection for breakfast. Good service throughout.
we enjoyed our stay at the Gibson very much.Even though the hotel was busy we found the staff very helpful and pleasent and the food was also a1. Will be back again soon.
THE GIBSON HOTEL WE FOUND TO BE OF TOP CLASS HOTEL , CHECK IN / OUT EXCELENT , ROOM 10 OUT OF 10 , STAFF AND SERVICE EXCELENT , IT IS A BEAUTIFUL HOTEL
Great hotel, fab location, will stay there again.
We would highly rate the Gibson Hotel attended a concert at the O2 best location execllent. Staff very friendly and helpful room comfortable and very clean.Buffet breakfast excellent. Overall Superb.
We had a very enjoyable stay. The hotel is right beside the Point depot and the Luas and as we were there for a concert it couldnt have been better. The hotel itself is perfect. The room was very clean ,comfy and quiet. The staff were very helpful. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.
This is the second time that I have stayed in the Gibson Hotel and this time was just as pleasant an experience as the last time! The location of the hotel is phenominal! A step across the 'yard' and you are at the door of the O2 and with a Luas stop outside the door Dublin is your Oyster! But the highlight has to be its proximity to the 'Port' tunnel which facilitates an easy and traffic-free run to the Airport and also to the M1 heading North! The hotel itself is of a very high standard with comfortable clean roomy bedrooms, excellent food and very friendly staff. What more can you ask for??? Oh yes - Very good value for money and underground and supervised car-parking. A truly wonderful experience! We will be back!!!!
I have stayed in the Gibson a number of times and love the hotel. It is ideally located for going to the O2, rooms are excellent, staff are very helpful, only downside is it gets really busy and you may have to queue for check in and bar food. Will def stay there again and would highly recommend it.
All in all a very good experience modern rooms, highy recommended
Had a brilliant stay at The Gibson Hotel. Hotel was lovely, staff very helpful and the location was ideal for the O2.
Our guest was very impressed with the hotel particularly as he was upgraded to a mininsuite with a balcony on one of the higher floors. He could not as a result hear any of the noise from the concert attendees at the O2 that night and rated his experience with the Gibson quite highly. We will definitely use them again!
This, to me, is the perfect hotel to stay in Dublin. The bedrooms are modern, funky and very comfortable, and have everything that you could need. I really liked the lights under the bed feature. There is a wide selection available for breakfast, the service is good and the staff are efficient and friendly. The location is great, just hop on the Luas and you are in the city centre in minutes. I will definitely be staying again!
Lovely hotel, staff were excellent. Beds so comfortable. Food great.
The hotel is a little dated. Our room the safe wasn't working so we had to leave our items in the hotel safe, was a problem. The bathroom very small and alot of dark spots on the ceiling of the bathroom, the tub needs to be resealed around it. The lights in the room were really bad. There being eco freindly but they have taken it one step to far. The watts of the lights our so low, you can't even read in the room. If you don't leave the lights on in the bathroom on, so that they can brighten up a little, you can't shave or even put your makeup on. I think they need to look at a different type of lightblub or something. actually your using more enery because you just keep the lights on more and all the lights on, because you can't see anything in the room. So I don't really see how they can be saving energy or being eco freindly, if you have to leave the lights on all the time to see what little you can in the room.
Our first vist to this relatively new hotel just across the roadway from the 02 at The Point. Very conveniently situated a few yards from The Point stop on the LUAS and with its frequent service (always appears to be a tram waisting), O'Connell Street is just a minutes away. Excellent ambience and facilities; range of menu and restaurant facilities were excellent; exceptionally friendly and helpful staff; with the bedrooms quiet although hotel was busy. Appeared to be a close 'oversight' by Management to ensure Guest were well catered for. The Gibson will be my future 'first port of call' when I'm arranging a stay in Dublin for the reasons I've outlined but also because of its excellent public transport connections and its value for money.
Very pleased with the Gibson Hotel. It has a real wow factor when you arrive from the car park. Group of 12 of us staying and everyone of us had a fabulous room. Had booked on a package which included 3 course meal which was just perfect. All the restaurant staff were so attentive to all our needs. Will return in the near future.
Very enjoyable stay, had a laugh with the guy who checked us in as he said " are you here for the concert " and then corrected himself and said " I really should have said are you here for the gig , thats the trendy thing to say " so that really says it all , good fun, lovely hotel , super service and trendy !!
We stayed at the Gibson as we were attending a gig at the O2. It couldnt have been more convenient for us. I was 7 months pregnant and we instantly got an unexpected upgrade on our room. I especially was delighted to have the extra comfort. It was great that we didnt have to traipse around the city looking for a cool bar and nice restaurant as it was all in The Gibson. All of our group agreed that it was one of the best & reasonable hotels in Dublin we have stayed in a long time. I would highly recommend it
Nice hotel, loction is ideal for O2 , however if i wasnt going to a concert I wouldnt recommend staying there, surronding area isn't great, not much to do and not an appealing area to be in late at night, Rooms are very modern as you would expect and the food was to a 4 start standard, for the rate we got was well worth it, literally leave the hotel 5 mins before concert starts and you are in your seat
THOROUGHLY ENJOYED OUR STAY HOTEL SO HANDY FOR LUAS AND O2 WOULD RECOMMENDED HOTEL TO ANYONE
We were very impressed with the Gibson Hotel. We were only there for one night but wished it was longer. The staff were friendly, very knowlegeable and helpful. The rooms were spaceous, very comfortable and very modern. The breakfast was very nice with lots of choices. We would definitely pick the Gibson on our next visit to Dublin.
We stayed at this hotel as we were going to a Peter Kay show in the O2. We were informed at Check-In that there may be queues for dinner before the show and queues at the bar after the show but that was no problem for us. They have a Grab and Go Buffet option in one of their function rooms at very reasonable prices, we thoroughly enjoyed the food there. The rooms were of a high standard and had everything you may need, the rain shower was amazing! Parking overnight (24hrs) cost us €14 as it was a private car park. The location is perfect for any event on at the O2, you can actually see the queues from the balcony in the bar. I would definitely stay in this hotel again and if you like shopping simply step outside the front door of the hotel and get the Luas into the city!
Fab location for the O2 arena, lovely bar food menu and at a good price. Lovely rooms and great staff.
Smiling staff wonderful... food lovely
we stayed overnight in the hotel it was excellent in every way will stay there again and will tell my friends
The only thing is that there could be more signage in the carpark to facilitate guests in finding the correct lift to reception.
We really enjoyed our stay in the Gibson hotel. We were attending a concert in the O2 and thought it would be much handier to book into the hotel. The hotel really added to the experience of the concert. We stayed in what was called a superior double room and it really was superior, It was so modern and luxurious. I would definitely rush back for the room alone. The reception staff were so helpful and friendly and the breakfast buffet was very impressive!! I really could not find any faults with this hotel.
Highly enjoyable stay here. Would definitely recommend it.
Excellent location to 02, modern, clean, beautiful bedrooms, a/c, electric blinds, huge tv, great shower, excellent bar and restaurant, staff very friendly and professional, staff could not do enough to help in every way.
only problem with the hotel was the incessant knocking on the door by the cleaners from 9.30am on considering checkout was at 12.00pm.
Just back after spending two nights in the Gibson Hotel. This was my first visit to this hotel and it proved an enjoyable experience. Reception staff were friendly and efficient on arrival. My room on the fifth floor was large and overlooked an internal garden area had WiFi comfortable bed etc. Dining room a bit pretentious but food good and staff friendly and attentive at dinner, area relatively quiet on the night. Good selection for breakfast and good service though quiet busy. Overall a good experience and I hope to return again
Spent one night in the Gibson hotel on April 2nd with my daughter. Wow! has'nt it a superb location beside the O2. We were at a concert which finished at 11pm and we were in our lovely cosy beds by 11.10pm. From check in to check out , everything was 100% satisfactory. The rooms are funky and ultra moden and the complimentary newspaper delivered to the room was a nice touch. There was a great selection of food for breakfast. The standard of this food and the bar food was top class. I also liked very much the fact that they had a healthy selection and good variety of food on the childrens menu. I would have no hesitation in using this hotel again.
The Gibson Hotel is very convienent to the O2 and getting there is no hassle with the luas dropping you right to the door. We recieved a very nice and friendly welcome from the front of desk staff and they were very helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean. The dining staff were very friendly and helpful and very cheerful to chat to. Food was beautiful, presentation and very very tasty. We were attending a concert in the O2 so it is a perfect setting right afterwards, althought extremely busy, great atmosphere. Can't say a bad word about it.
Excellent hotel. Very impressed with service, standard of rooms, bar and restaurant. Brillant location for o2 and luas stop just at front of hotel. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I will definately be recommending this hotel to family and friends.
Excellent hotel, service, cleanliness and great food. Great location. Would highly recommend.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We were there for a concert and it was brill to say that O2 was litterally facing the hotel plus the luas stops right outside the front door of hotelwhich ment the was very little traveling once we got off train. Staff very friendly, all in all, a very relaxing and enjoyable stay !
I thought the hotel was excellent as we had a concert in the O2, it was lovely and modern and clean and for Dublin not too overpriced for both food and drinks. Staff were very helpful and friendly. My only compaint is that when i arrived at 4pm on 19/03/2011 and my room was not ready, i thought this was a little unprofessional but my wait turned out to be only baout 30 minutes so i wasnt too put out by it. Overall i was very impressed and enjoyed my stay.
this hotel is beyond belief, they do so much more then check you in and serve you breakfast! the staff are the best and most professional while always ensuring they go that extra mile to help you enjoy your stay. i will never forget this hotel
We stayed at the Gibson as we were going to a concert in the O2 and could not fault the hotel. Excellent location, Luas stop right outside the hotel to get into the city. Rooms were spacious & extremely clean. Bar and restaraunt were very modern, good atmosphere. The self-service breakfast was excellent. Staff were extremely polite and helpful. Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
stayed here in feb 11 as we were going to concert in o2.fab hotel spotless clean and friendly staff, rooms so peacefull quite and really comfortable. have booked to return in march again. would highly recommend this hotel to everyone i know
Beautiful hotel with very helpful staff both in reception and the bar. Rooms well appointed and we enjoyed a lovely meal in the evening and a great breakfast the next morning. Ideal hotel for attending a function at the O2. Would definitely recommend The Gibson.
Great hotel, good location, totally recommend it. Facilities excellent.
Excellent hotel. Have already booked a return stay in May.
A superb hotel with all the nice finishing touches.Staff very helpfull and very good at their respective jobs. The room was comfortable.
Great hotel- right next to the venue. Lovely rooms, good service!
Great hotel, staff and location was spot on for the O2. It was great waiting in the comfort of your hotel for the queue to go and then just stroll in. Would highly receommend this hotel.
stayed in the Gibson hotel the night of the Andrea Bocelli concert in the point. Fab concert!. The hotel was spotlessly clean, with a comprehensive menu in the bar and staff who could not have been more friendly right from the gentleman who spoke to us when we were queuing up to check in at reception. the bedroom was modern and the bed and duvet felt like we were sleeping on clouds!
Fantastic Stylish Modern Hotel right beside the O2 Arena and so close to the Grand Canal Theatre. We arrived from Heustion Station with all our bags and then stepped on the Luas tram directly to the front door of the Gibson hotel. So convenient!
Great stay. So handy for the O2. Just right at the end of the Luas. Hotel itself is fab inside and the bar and food was great. Will definately stay here again.
We stayed at the Gibson Hotel for a show at the O2 and it was ideal for that. The staff was friendly, the whole hotel very modern and the room and bed excellent. Based on previous reviews we did not bother with the breakfast. The car park is behind the hotel complex and signed "The Point Village". 14 Euro per night is a bit steep, but it's very convenient. Maybe the hotel could give a discount on the parking?
Excellent will definitely stay here again when visiting the o2.
We stayed here while going to a concert in the O2 - i really was impressed - the fact that the Luas is right outside the door is an added bonus. the staff were very attentive and there was no waiting at reception to be checked in. the rooms were only a short walk away and over looking the O2 - very clean. there was no noise from staff outside the door in the morning i cannot strees how nice the breakfast was - such a selection i have never seen before -i will definitely be back and would recommend the hotel to anyone
Stayed in The Gibson Hotel on Friday 29th October. This is a fantastic hotel. I couldn't find fault with anything during my stay. The food was delicious. We had no problems getting drinks at the bar. The staff were extermely friendly. The hotel was spotlessly clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
The rooms where fab. Modern, clean, spacious and they have thought of everthing you would need for your stay. We had breakfast in bed and it was lovely. It arrived hot and on time. Only thing I would say is the lobby is a bit clinical however the staff, service and facilites are excellent - one of the best hotels I stayed in worldwide. Excellent if you are attending the O2. Literally next door and has ample underground car parking spaces.
Lovely room, very fresh and clean. Modern ans airy. Lovely staff, very welcoming and helpful at breakfast next morning. Location fantastic across the road from the O2 and right at the LUAS stop. Fab Fab Fab will stay again. Thank you
Loved the hotel, very modcom and gorgeous rooms. Sound system in the rooms is state of the art. I would recommend to any friend
This hotel is lovely and modern with top class rooms and a lovely bar. Myself and my partner stayed one night and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The rooms were lovely with bright modern rooms. The only problem was the noise from outside meant you couldn't leave the window open at night or you would kept awake! We had dinner in the bar and while the menu was limited enough the food was lovely albeit a little expensive. There is also a beautiful balcony in the bar overlooking the O2. Breakfast in the morning was the only real let down. We went in a 10.45am and got a seat straight away but the hot breakfast was cold and I had to send it to the kitchen to be heated. But the staff were very helpful and checked on us throughout our stay. I would recommend it as a great hotel for a weekend break but possibly not with children.
From the time we entered the hotel door we met a friendly, professional and very welcoming approach. The staff were excellent, the rooms fantastic and the food delicious. The value for money would be hard to beat anywhere, let alone the location, which I have to say makes a trip to the 02 far more appealing. All in all a great spot, well worth treating yourself with out breaking the bank.
