Hotel is situated 5 minutes from the centre of Killarney and is set in 25 acres of landscaped parkland, adjacent to the National Park.
All rooms are similar in size, although there are a few that are slightly larger. They are all in good condition and are light and spacious, some with views over Killarney National Park.
The 'flesk room' serves both a la carte and table d'hote menus and is a reasonably large and spacious room. There is a separate area for children.
The hotel is very large and modern and resembles a typical building constructed in the late 1970's.
The lobby is large with a large reception desk and plenty of seating where snacks and tea or coffe can be taken.
The Gleneagle Hotel Killarney offers more under just one roof than any other hotel of its kind. Hotel facilities includes: 2 Restaurants - The Flesk and O'D's Chestnut Tree Restaurant, The Argyll Bistro, O'D's Chestnut Tree Bar and over 25's Night Club, Green Room Residents Bar, 2 function rooms - Celebrity Club and the Mangerton Suite, O'Donoghues Gift Shop, Aquila Leisure Centre and the Aquila Hair and Beauty Salon. Nice hotel and rooms but we had to wait over an hour for our room to be ready despite booking it 2 weeks ahead and arriving at the check-in time instructed on the reservation. Breakfast logistics to work on as the queue to enter the breakfast room collides with the queue for cooked breakfast which causes chaos. Receptionists John and Edyta very helpful.

Family of 5 staying for a mid week break. Lots of activities for the children kids club and evening entertainment. Breakfast is very busy and you may be required to wait for a table.Rooms were comfortable and clean and travel cots are available.

Easy and straightforward check-in. OD's Restaurant great staff, lovely food, ...
I stayed in the Gleneagle hotel for 2 nights. The hotel is fabulous and the food is superb. The rooms are lovely and clean its well worth paying an extra 10 euro a night for a room with a balcony. The only thing I could comment on would be the cleaners are very noisey in the morning. The food in the Flesk restaurant is lovely and very resonable. Also as a resident in the hotel you can use the pool which was a bonus. Just remember if you are looking to have food in the bar they stop serving at 5pm. Its a perfect hotel and I look forward to staying again soon :)
