my girlfriend and I really and truly loved this hotel and the staff are the most helpful ever. the service that we received at TRALEE CENTRAL HOTEL would put the StafF other hotels to shame we enjoyed our stay here and we will be returning to the hotel in the coming months this hotel is a the ideal weekend away and my girlfriend and I would love to take this opportunity to thank all the staff at the TRALEE CENTRAL HOTEL and the staff at ROOMEX..
I had a very short stay at this hotel the room was very clean, and the service was second to none, the staff were friendly and the hotel was central to the town in a quiet location, the service in the restaurant was FAB. I don't often say this but I would love to stay there again of course I love Tralee anyway.
Just back from a 2 night stay at the Abbey gate hotel in Tralee, Co.Kerry.
I Booked after reading other good reviews on the Roomex site & was not dissapointed,
I brought my wife there on the 20th & 21st of August 2012 as a supprise gift for our 10th anniverarsy & so we could enjoy the rose of Tralee festival that was going on in the town on those dates,we came to tralee by train from Dublin & were quite easily able to find our way from the local train station to the hotel by foot as it was only s short walk approx 8 mins away. on arrival there were other people checking in & we were asked very nicely would we take a seat & we would be checked in very shortly & after the staff had checked in the people just before us, we were called to the desk & welcomed & checked in very quickly also & given the key to our room, on arrival to out room it was just as decribed on the roomex site & also the hotels own website, it was clean & airey even though we had ordered & booked 1 double room we were given 1 single bed & 1 double bed in the room we were given at no extra cost on such a busy time when the hotel was fully booked out for the rose of tralee festival,it had a clean bathroom with a bath & a powerfull shower head, plenty of hot & cold running water, only thing missing from bathroom was a bath matt and later in the evening when reported to reception they had no spare in the hotel but sent a hotel member of staff up to the local Dunnes stores in the town & we had it in our room with in a half hour of first reporting it, thats great customer service & someomeone with great management skills, who was well able to sence a customer health & safety probliem & solve it with no bones about it, The beds were great & we had a really good nights sleep while there, there was tea & coffee making facilitys in the bedroom which is always welcome, however when i went to first use the kettle supplied the flex looked a little loose and the kettle would not boil, using that flex or in any scocett in the room, again i had to go to reception to inform them about the kettle flex, again they appoliged & sent up a hotel worker with a working kettle & flex
again very happy with their can do attuide to sorting customers probliem out.
The hotels breckfast was plenty to choose from & the food was good & hot, staff had full hotel to deal with when we were there, there were 2 female staff on serving duites & were very much under pressure to take orders, clean tables & serve also, they were very plesent and were not getting enough thanks working under such pressure, they even took time out to accomadate my wifes request to have a porridge breckfast as an extra from the ready made breackfast menu, the hotel bar & lounge was well stocked, priced very reasonibly priced, the Guinness was really great, there was also a fish restraunt in the bar/lounge area also, we did not try it out so can not comment on this, the hotel is located 5 mins away from the main street of the town, great for things like the rose of tralee & also plenty of pubs, bars with food, & loads of shopping areas near by,
It was very respctable hotel to stay in while the rose of tralee festival was on,
no trouble in hotel at all , no fire alarms being set off in the middle of the night by drunks,no shouting in corridors, no slamming doors in the middle of the night, night porter took no messing from anyone which was good for all hotel guests that were asleep & those who came back in the middle of the night comming back from the rose of tralee.
we , will book this hotel again next year from this site again.
