Ideally situated in the picturesque village of Chapelizod, nestled is the stunning location opposite the tranquillity and serenity of The Phoenix Park, yet only off the M50 and 6kms from Dublin City Centre and all its sights and attractions.
The rooms are clean and the staff very friendly. The bedrooms look to be refurbished in recent years which has not yet extended to the corridors which look dated and tired. Only sampled the breakfast which was very tasty and the restaurant pleasantly decorated. Very good value for money.

The West County Hotel has an old and lived-in look ...
The West County Hotel has an old and lived-in look but don't pass it up because of that. Very close to the city centre it has stress free parking, free naturally, just outside the front door. It is like parking outside your own house. And inside you will definitely feel at home. Staff are very friendly and efficient, the rooms are very clean, warm, it was minus 5 outside the night of my stay, got nicely cooked simple breakfast, it was like being at home. Bed was comfortable, often paid much more for less comfortable bed and they had mugs for a decent cup of tea or coffee. The hotel certainly needs renovation but has many great qualities, is very good value and the true test, yes, I would stay there again. After a long journey, being able to park, literally outside the front door and get checked in within two minutes and be in your room around a minute later, that has alot going for it. For the lone business person in particular it is stress free.
This is my first time to stay at this hotel and I definitely will return. I booked for a Saturday night in October, single occupant and got excellent value for money. Staff are most helpful and friendly, €50 bed and breakfast, rooms clean and comfortable. Well done.

This hotel is celebrating 50 years in business and 1/we ...
This hotel is celebrating 50 years in business and 1/we stayed there several times over the years. It's well located for anywhere in the city and the airport (if you are driving). The place is clean, smells good, staff are nice, there is a spacious bar, breakfast is just right, and it has free car parking. The main road, N4, used to pass by the front of the hotel but the road has been reconstructed out-of-sight to the rear and higher up. Consequently there is no road noise and a quiet night is assured.
