Our stay at the Yeats Country Hotel was fine. The YCH staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel and rooms are a little dated and in need of a revamp/ renovation. It is in a beautiful location, near the beach and golf club and a 10 minute drive into Sligo town. It was ideal as a base for the family event we attended. As it currently is we wouldn't recommend it to friends for a break away, just feel it lacks a little something to make it a really enjoyable experience.

Extremely clean and well appointed room. Had a lovely view ...
We already took the opportunity to inform the hotel of a couple of items that spoiled the stay 'just a little bit'!(which is the reason we are giving 'Very Good' instead of 'Superb')
As people who are 'environmentally friendly', we were surprised to see the notice concerning 'not leaving laundry out if it is clean' was 'VERY SMALL' and 'stuck' to the wall at the sink. It wasn't very legible to me as I require glasses for reading. In fact I didn't think there was a notice at all. It was my wife who pointed it out to me!
Also there was no litter bin in the room (there was a small one in the bathroom!), no pencils to fill out the comment card.
As somebody who listens to the radio more than watches TV, I was surprised and disappointed that there was no 'radio' in the room. There was no radio through the TV either. Wi-Fi was very poor or not working at all so couldn't get radio on the web.
Having said all that. The hotel is VERY nice. The staff are very helpful and courteous. They are VERY SMARTLY DRESSED and more importantly, their uniforms look like they are changed/cleaned very frequently. VERY SMART!
We had a very nice stay. The room was spacious and CLEAN. The food was excellent! and of course the view was super!!
